been busy all week but here is my canadian haul got all this today

i have slips for kill bills and cop land

bummed i didnt get slips for mortal kombat and hobo with a shotgun

My unboxing of The Muppets Best Buy Exclusive Blu-ray with the Lunchbox. Stores around me started selling out 30 minutes after they opened. I got the last copy at my store.

This is really irritating. I have the artwork of Rooney Mara's face on supplements Disc 2, and then the trees on feature film Disc 1. I like those images, but feel cheated that they randomized them.

I have not seen Hobo with a slipcover for a while. Any Best Buy or Futureshop I go to have the movie without the slip. Not sure if all were sold and the copies in stores are second press or people just buy the movies and return them after taking the slip away from them.

I think cheated is a bit strong to describe the situation.

Eraserhead (yesterday)
Repo Man steelbook
U.S. versions of Manhunter and First Blood (had the European ones already)
DVD TV show sets: Fawlty Towers complete series, Crank Yankers season one and the Canadian "complete" series of The Hitchhiker, which is only 30 episodes

The artwork on Dragon Tattoo is all gorgeous. My Blu-ray discs are a picture of Daniel Craig and then a close-up of Lisbeth's pierced nose that took me a while to decipher.

We have two short amateur reviews in this thread and the two of us agreed about a 4.0 grade for the picture:

In short, the picture quality is about as good as you can hope for a movie with a five figure budget.

It doesn't appear to have a US release date set yet. I think it just recently had a short run at the cinemas in the US, I guess they believed it was better than the average direct-to-DVD title.

It's out in many countries in Europe. In Italy it's been out for a month, I think. UK will have it next week.

No, we're imposing sanctions on it in the UK, on the basis that it's a terrible, terrible movie and only worth watching as an un-intentional comedy.
