I don't know about you, but I'll be a little disappointed if the announcement is Spider-man. It should be noted that I'm a huge fan of Spidey (collected comics for years, limited edition watch, 2 spidey ties, 3 t-shirts including an original art that has never been worn, etc.)

I feel I should elaborate on the above statement, however. The reason I'd be a little disappointed is that Spider-man on Blu-Ray is a foregone conclusion. I get the feeling that tomorrow's announcement should be a surprise that no one was excpecting this soon. For example, Fox announcing/confirming one of their blockbuster titles like Star Wars or Aliens, New LIne with an exclusive Lord of the Rings: Extended Edition, Pixar with one of their titles far sooner than initially stated (would love "The Incredibles" in that instance), or something along those lines.

Just my 2 cents. (<-- Funny statement now that I think about it. This day and age 2 pennies are practically worthless. So am I saying my opinion is worthless?)

Spidey movies while great do not warrant this kind of hype. It has been known for months they would be out this fall. I'd like to see a major retailer like Target announce BD exclusivity and Fox announce a full slate with release dates.

We already had an announcement from Warner that Harry Potter will be hitting Blu-ray and HD DVD later this year, likely coinciding with the HD release of Harry Potter 5.

Reminds me of the "BIG" PS3 game announcement a week ago. Alot of build up with no bang.

Exactly.

As is being learned, it's the NEW titles that are making huge sales, NOT cataloge titles that everyone already owns on SD-DVD.

Hopefully, Sony is going to use this to their advantage and release more exclusive NEW titles.

OK, it is exclusive news about a title.

Kinda like Mom saying she had a surprise for dinner and it turns out it is cheese sauce for the brocolli.

But, the subtitle adjustment capabability for constant height folk is significant. That's great news for them.

Yup, agreed.

I can persoanlly care less, but I do realize the importance. All three audio tracks in the top audio format too? Thats pretty impressive. Have they done this before and I've just not heard about it?
