Europe has 2 different transfers.
They're all the same, the UK cover is incorrect, it lists the PAL DVD running time
There is no second transfer. LOL!!

A sly (BBCF) edit for the region 2 DVD where Matrix, locks his arm around his neck and snap was cut. It was just elbow to the face and quick cut.

I thought the US Blu-ray was pretty awesome.

And yes, Commando is everything a person could want in a movie of its kind. I grew up with it.

I used to love this movie when I was a teen. Western Airlines, wow, that's oldschool!!!

James Horner score which is somewhat similar to what he did with "48 Hours".

Rae Dawn Chong, Allysa Milano, Bill Duke, the dude from "The Warriors", Bennett's, "Pull his Mancard for walking like a sissy after Ms. Milano", and that gruesome sound of the shotgun blast as Arnold makes his way through the Compound.

Isn't the BR in mpeg 2 ? This one needs a new transfert, with the total framing (not zoomboxed), AVC or VC1 and with the bonus original soundmix. The 5.1 remix I think uses new gunshot sounds. It sucks.

I'd have to agree. Even if it gives a little more aspect ratio, surely the Blu-ray has the superior PQ and AQ.

What would you expect? He's from Australia.
And, as any Brit would tell you, it's a continent of buggers.
I totally bought that Col. Matrix was uncomfortable having his daughter in Bennet's care.

Great movie though.
Would appreciate a director's commentary. Mark L. Lester provided a fine commentary for the "Class of 1984" DVD.

Let me first say, I love this movie.

I picked up the blu for $10, When ever this was on cable, I would watch it.

Overall, I was impressed with the quality of the blu, PQ was pretty good.

Glad I spent the $10 to add this classic to my collection.

It's always fun to get a bunch of guys over to the house and watch this flick. My son and I watched it when he returned from his first deployment to Iraq and we had a great time. The fact that you can get Commando AND Predator, each for about $10, is icing on the cake!

The version that will be released in April, will this be the same version (except for the dvd combo) as the one that's already out?

This is the most successful thread of this board, and for a reason: COMMANDO is a masterpiece.
