Nothing else I said was hype. The Cell took a different approach in several areas. Speed of the subsystems was one of them. That's not hype .. that was a design decision to achieve real-time processing of data. I'll trust people in IBM that had been developing chips for 25 years. IBM chip designers with pocket protectors aren't exactly masters of hype and marketing.

Considering I didn't fall for the hype of the Xbox 1.5 despite have an Xbox .. you don't need to worry about me getting steamrolled like most when it comes to over hyped consoles. I actually spend time reading to understand .. unlike many that make assumptions about others.

The PS3 has both fast RAM and a design focused on real-time streaming capabilities. Seems like they thought of that. Which is why your seeing these kinds of games on the PS3.

Limit which is what in relation to this game? You don't know but your assumption is the worst. Like I said in my original post .. pessimism. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Given the design goals of the chip itself informs my optimism.
Luxury? Um ..design decision actually. They designed a PS3 system..instead of just throwing something together and dumping last gen parts on the market like some other company rushing a product to market.
You need to read some more about the performance of BD vs DVD before claiming "awful". 2x BD does not equal 2x DVD.

You start off as a man who is in an obvious trance, and you watch him murder a man in the bathroom. You wake up over the dead body, and get the opportunity to do everything you would do, or not do, to try to not get caught (because you know you killed the guy, but don't know why.) This means hiding the body, the murder weapon, cleaning up, all before a cop who is eating at the diner comes in and finds out. You can then leave the normal way, try to act casual (make sure you pick up your tab, otherwise the waitress might remember more about you.), or you can crawl out the bathroom window into the alley, or you can go out the back door. Basically, it is a choose your own adventure played from two sides, and the moment your main character gets caught, it's game over. Any "action" segments are played out a-la timed button presses, generally with the left and right sticks (for dodging cars left/right, running up walls and doing a somersault over some cop's heads, etc.) The game CAN take as little as like 4 or 5 hours (to beat and get a decent ending), but I picked it up as a rental, played for at least 10 hours, and still was probably only 3/4 of the way through the game (I'm a meticulous person.)

If I could find a copy locally, I'd definitely pick it up, esp. since it's probably under $10 by now.

For this with an Xbox account to Live, Indigo Prophecy is available online there....you can find it cheap in stores or for the PC!

Its a pretty cool game, and has me pumped for Heavy Rain!

Quantic Dreams is a French Studio, so it's SCEE. Probably one of the "big 12" (revelations) of Liepzig in less than a month now

lol thanks, i am wondering if this game is somewhat similar to blade runner game on PC. the graphics are the same somewhat, but the story line is what i am wondering about.
