I agree with you there and I was surprised that Skinner won, but apparently there were many people who voted for him. I actually like Beamen and Stevyns as well. Padilla did great and I don't deny that she's tremendously talented. I thought she was going to win as well, but in the end I think thats what these shows come down to. The most votes = most relatability and most marketable, the contestant that identifies with the most voters.

Yes sir! We have to remember there are so many people that are voting that there are always gonna be surprises!! Some people vote just because someone is cute etc... I mean they need to come up with another way to choose the actual winner. I mean maybe have a panel for the finals or sumthin but I try to not get involved into the emotion which sometimes is hard to do and just pick the best talent but not everyone can do that! I would listen to music from Drew Stevyns & Lawrence Beamen anyday!! I wish Drew would actually record that song he did of the rendition of Careless Whispers! That was phenomenal in a rock style!! Got Em!!

Yea I agree, but I think the show last night puts things in perspective. Look at Shakiras performance, than look at Susan Boyle. I think it depicted our sad reality perfectly, Shakira lip synched her way on stage with practically no clothing and just danced around like a hooker while Susan Boyle signified what true musical talent is all about. Stevyns was actually my favorite, I loved his rendition of the Fray's How to Save a Life.

But its hard to sing and dance so thats why some artist dont sing live if they are dancing also!! Trust me Shakira can sing! Ive heard her and she is nice. But I do hear your point as well! Appearance is a big thing in our society and there are alot of acts that have no talent or cant sing ala Cassie but they get deals through looks or favors haha!! Got Em!!

What is really stupid with the American version of AGT is that ALL of the top 10 went against each other. That means Chicken catcher guy could have won with just 11% of the vote. They should have drilled it down to the top 3 or top 2 before the final vote was made. Sooooo flawed. It is precursor to the next Oscars and Best Picture.

Oh and was it just me or were most of the "professional" acts horrible? The sound was strange on Shakira's number, which was awkward to watch anyway (even if I find her hot) and that was the worst Cirque de Soleil act I have seen, and they are normally mind blowing. I was expecting Pierce to [X] them at one point.

America, if our votes really counted, got it dead wrong. Skinner sounded terrible from my living room. He should have not made it to the finals. What are they going to do with him now? :Shrug:

The final two should have been Recycled Percussion and Padilla. They were the best two acts of the show. I would have been happy with either team winning; however, I would like to see Recycled Percussion in a Vegas show. They were very talented and unique.

Oh well, I'm movin on to The Amazing Race.

I definitely agree they shouldnt had a finals with 10 acts left! They shouldve done a final four or sumthin! Thats to many acts left to choose 1 from 10!! That is flawed and hope they change it next season!! Got Em!!

Agree 100% about Recycled Percussion! Those boys are some bad dudes!! I thought they were gonna make the top 2 when it just 3 acts left!! They are very talented!! Got Em!!
