Congrats Joe! That's an absolutely stunning phono stage! And seeing as it's an ARC, I'm sure it'll perform at maximum for decades to come!

Same for me Fred! Anything I get now will only pale in comparison!

Maybe once the PH6 is released there will be a lot of people who want to upgrade from the PH5 to the PH6 there might be some great deals on Audiogon.

Besides John the pre-amps you were looking at are wonderful pieces.

Great news, you lucky dog!

I've just returned from CES, and a few exhibitors there were using the ARC Phono Reference 2 and the Reference 5 line stage. Even taking into account show conditions, I thought the sound was something special. The main trouble I have now is this: I don't have the necessary $24K one needs to acquire them. :-(

How was CES?

The phono reference 2 is suppose to be one of the best phono prea amp produced. After hearing and loving my PH5 with about 10 hours on it, I can't imagine how much better that thing sounds.

Very busy! I was in "making contacts and introducing myself" mode, so I didn't have much time to actually sit down and enjoy the exhibits. But I got a whole bunch of business cards (and gave away even more I think), and some people were quite intrigued by my mag. Others adopted a "wait and see" approach, and that's OK. Of course, the irony is that the more people who do that the less chance the mag has at being successful!
