Maybe you are right, maybe not... Do you think it makes a difference, that yesasia lists "Memories of Murder" as a "First Press Limited Edition" and all the other CJs only as "Limited Editions"?

Oh, so your take would be: there will be no reissue at all? Never thought about that... But one thing is for sure: If the bring "Thirst" in its Director's Cut, I will preorder right away

Just received Memories of Murder and Tazza today from ebay to round out my CJ collection. I just love the way these blus are packaged. Very similar to the way Criterion blus were initially packaged but somehow much sturdier and better looking.

As I always say. Korea knows a thing or two about quality.

No. These will be reissued, probably in the same packaging, but at lower cost. Only DVDs that really went out of print after the initial pressing were those super deluxe packages that contained a lot of useless junk.

That's not true. Off the top of my head, "The Man Who Was Superman," "I'm A Cyborg, But That's OK" and "Hansel and Gretel" went out of print very quickly, and none of them are deluxe editions with "a lot of useless junk."

cj blu no.1-4 is almost gone even in Korean market.

reason that they were gone so quickly is because the provider is cj. (people knows, so they get it when it's available)

since dvd market, cj had different policies compared to other providers.

while others kept reprinting and sold cheaper and cheaper to clear the stocks, cj just printed in small numbers and if sold out, cj let it be like that and even when cj reprint the copy( very rarely), dont even reduce the price.

and in my opinion, this policy would be firmed than time of dvd due to small and 'hard to make profit' market of Korea. (it's because of their incredible internet download speed)

Do you guys know how Yesasia is for shipping in terms of packaging?

I havent ordered from them for awhile, but I'm looking to get the Good, Bad, Weird BD but am worried that the packaging would get messed up in transit if they still used bubble mailers.

Thanks for any input!

My copy of Mother came in perfect condition from YesAsia. They used 3-4 bubble wraps.

When shipping to the U.S., YesAsia always use bubble wraps. I've ordered discs from them for years, way before BD, and they have always been one of the most reliable vendors.

My only complain with them is that many of their older titles started disappearing during the last 2 years. But I guess they cannot keep in stock everything that is released in Asia. The market -- DVD/BD/VCD -- is simply too big.
