He's the best thing about X3 in my opinion.

When he was first cast, I raised a huge stink. Cause I don't like Kelsey as an actor. And didn't feel he was right for the part. But goddamn, if he didn't perfectly nail the part and do an amazing job.

Agree, one of my favorite X-Men when I was a kid. They could have used him more and included him in the first two.

Well... the plan was for him to be in the first two.

He was supposed to have most of Jean's roll in X1. Including the speech infront of the Senate. He was supposed to get injured by Magneto, I think at the train station and his leg would get broke or something. So he had to remain at the base when they went to Liberty Island. This was mostly so that they wouldn't have to work out how to do him leaping and bounding around, since the special effects budget was tight. He was finally dropped though, mostly for the same reason. The budget required for the make-up.

He was likewise supposed to play a larger role in X2. You of course probably remember him in Human Form on the TV in the bar. Later, during the 'Dark Cerebro' scene, where Xavier's building up to kill all mutants for Stryker... the effect was supposed to cause some mutants powers to flare out of control before killing them. We were gonna see Marrow have bones suddenly erupt from her skin in pain. And Hank was supposed to collapse in pain, and devolve into his classic Blue furred Apeman appearance. Cut from the film for budget reasons.

Thats too bad. I would have enjoyed them more if he had a bigger role. Maybe they will make an "Origins" film about him?

He's supposed to play a part in the X-Men Origins: Magneto film. Like Scott was in XMO:W.

Well as long as the Origins films are successful they will keep making them so maybe it's in the pipeline?
