Gotcha. I meant the faux 3D that the studios are trying to push on us. See Alice in Wonderland and Clash of the Titans for examples.

yes underwhelming experience...the demo wasn't good. really didn't show to much. The 3d during the demo was subpar. the M v. A demo that was running had the paddle that they guy was hitting the ball...it looked no better than the 3D version on my current bluray with Red/Green glasses...the only plus was...the film didn't look Red/Green because of the glasses.

i did view the panasonic 3d TV....now that I was more impressed with...probably because they have more content to display...lots more actually. some of it was a little hoaky for lack of a better term. they showed this scene with rome in the background...well if you break it down...the actually picture of colesseum in rome was just that, a picture...so they put that in the back ground and just layered stuff...looked like they had a green screen going and threw some people in the foreground for movement when everything was a still image made into 3d.

the grand canyon 3d trail thing....that was pretty impressive detail...the water raft ride with the water splash......cliff details.....very impressive.

samsung does 1080i to each eye.....panny does 1080p to each eye. i liked the sammy glass better than panny but i felt the panny tech and detail level looked far better. also the sammy tv on display is there lower end 3d tv...so i'm sure black levels and such aren't on par with the panny....you'd have to step up a few grades to get there.

i also liked the sony 3d tv....but i think the panny might take it. i would say panny, sony, then sammy...but i wish there was a higher end sammy tv to make a better comparo.

wow would not be how i describe it...but a rather lack thereof.
G 3d really needs to be seen in a dark environment to work. Much like front projection.
