I think the way season 5 ended would have ended the show well but i was still happy as hell when UPN revived it. I think they did the best they chould in season 6 after bringing her back. As i said 7 was just epic overall. If we had no season 6 we would have no Once More With Feeling.

I actually hate Once More with Feeling, especially since the demon was so dumb he confused Xander with Dawn.

I liked Zeppo and The Wish a lot, never liked Hush, I prefer my TV episodes to have a lot more dialogue than that one did.

Yeah if you want tons of dialogue Hush is not the right episode. I just loved how it was out of the ordinary from other episodes and i loved the comical ways they communicated. I loved the slide show that Giles made so he could show them what they where up against it was.

His flash cards he made that Asian potential Slayer were hilarious, I loved Giles in seasons 6 and 7. That was pretty much my only knock on season 6, too little Giles.

Yeah way way too little of Giles. I was so sad when he was not a regular anymore thank god he was fully back for season 7. Well its been great chating Buffy with you but my bed is calling me lol.

I have to admit, I have the soundtrack too

It's a shame that UPN "forgot" to put it in for an Emmy; I'm sure it would've won that year.

I would go 3>>2>5>7>1>6>>>4 i really liked them all but 4 was the worst overall. The whole gang was disjointed and Adam sucked.
Adam could have been awesome, but he was to underused. He was in what, 3-4 episodes?

Also, Caleb was one of the best villains.

I hated Riley. He was always a secondary character to me. So, Season 4 is probably my least favorite. Just because of him. And Tara. I love Amber Benson, but Tara was such a drag of a character in season 4.

And Season 3 is tied with 5 for favorite.

And Once More with Feeling is my favorite episode.

I will definately get this. In general I haven't had much interest in ordering 'motion comic' DVD or BD releases, but I will make an exception for Buffy. I actually have all of the Season 8 comics that have been released, but have yet to sit down and read them in full. This may be a better way to experience it.

Though I may wait until after I've rewatched the entire series.

I actually recently took all of my Buffy and Angel DVDs, ripped the episodes off of them, labeled the video files in continuity order (so the crossovers and references to each other's shows line up, etc, especially in the later seasons when they were on 2 different networks and they had a crossover or two that didn't actually line up right when they aired). And I put them all on an external hard drive which I can watch via my PS3. I plan to sit down and rewatch the entire run of both series, and then probably follow that up with the motion comic.

I will preface this by saying that most of my viewing of Buffy and Angel have been on DVD. When Buffy first started, I didn't bother with it. I thought it was odd that it was based on that movie (I like the movie for what it is, but didn't feel that a series based on it made sense). Of course at the time not realizing that Joss Whedon wasn't happy with the movie either and that the series was a whole different take on the character.

It was actually during Buffy's final season on TV (and Angel's 4th season) that I picked up Seasons 1 and 2 of Buffy on DVD, watched them, and got hooked. Season 3 came out shortly there after, and I watched it as well. Then I started watching them both on TV, and filled in the blanks as more previous seasons came out, ultimately seeing both series in full.

So, on the subject of Buffy Seasons 6 and 7, I wouldn't say that I hate those seasons, but IMO they were weaker than the previous ones. Season 6 was really lacking in a specific villain. The nerd trio, while funny characters, weren't much in the way of actual villains. And then Willow went all psycho and evil, essentially becoming the villain of the season, which was fine, but in many ways the overall season-long story arc (which the series is known for) was weak compared to previous seasons. I think a more specific villain in addition to the trio and psycho willow would have been appropriate.

And the lack of a villain in Season 6 wouldn't have been so bad if Season 7 had more of a defined villain from the get-go. Now, it's been a while since I've watched Season 7 (or any complete season for that matter), so I'm going from fuzzy memories here. I know "The First" was the villain of the season, but he/it just kept showing up in the form of different previous villains, etc. It was interesing, but lacked a specific face to go along with it. It just didn't "feel" like there was a specific evil to fight. There really wasn't a specific defined villain up until the guy from Firefly (the actor's name escapes me at the moment) showed up later in the season.

The whole transition from "everything is normal" in Sunnydale (or as close to normal as Sunnydale ever was during the series) to "Everything is completely going to hell and the town must be evacutated!" wasn't really well defined. The "transition" (if you can call it that) seemed to happen in the background over the course of a couple of episodes with little explanation as to what specifically was SO bad that it caused the whole town to leave. Again, my memories of it are fuzzy, so maybe there was more of an explanation than I remember, but I recall it seeming like a handful of extra, tougher bad guys showed up making things harder than usual for Buffy and company, and then all of the sudden the WHOLE TOWN is evacuating, and it seemed to come out of nowhere.

It just seemed like they really didn't know where to go with things during the final season, and they were just putzing around until they settled on some kind of direction.

It was still an entertaining season. It had it's moments, and the ending was very epic. But none the less, as a whole it could have been a lot better.

I think my favorite overall season of Buffy was Season 3 with the Mayor. While there were many great episodes in the seasons that followed, as a whole that was my favorite story arc in the series.

I love all of the seasons, there isn't one I don't like, I don't understand the hate for 6 & 7, I think they did some of the best work, S7 is one of my favorites, it just seemed so much BIGGER and movie-like.

Thank you! Yes! I love S7, I really don't get the hate. From the reveal at the end of the first episode, it's just got that "It's on." vibe and it's awesome.

If you seen (or remember) the season 3 episode "amends" aka Christmas Episde, The First makes his (or it) appearance, right below the christmas tree lot. remember? great episode.

Pardon my ignorance but how exactly does a motion comic work? I love Buffy and I'm considering picking this one up but I don't really know what it is.

Season 7 was a huge pile of crap. The writers, the actors clearly didn't care anymore. Season 8 in comic form is way more cartoonish but it's been...interesting...Nothing can ever surpass Season 3...that was Buffy at its creative zenith
