BEST:
there are too many to name that are great in every category

WORST:
A/V: Total Recall and Sleepy Hallow (I actually got up during the movie and adjusted my projector because I thought it was out of focus...nope, I was wrong lol)

Blind Buy: Trick r' Treat (is the only blu I regret buying. If you're fan of horror movies you'll probably like it but I thought it was awful.)

After watching Total Recall and Young Guns this past weekend I am convinced that both have poor transfers and new masters with lossless audio. It stinks that Lionsgate didn't get their BD act together until 2008.

Best: Clash of the Titans (2010)
Kick-Ass
Crank
Watchmen
Hot Tub Time Machine (watched it 4x)

Worst: Clash of the Titans (1981) Very hard to sit through found myself nodding off, loved it as a kid. Paid too much for it to sell it off so it will collect dust lol.

thank you-- a completely logical comment!
I just don't get the "panic to get rid of" mentality of so many posts-- is it really killing you to have something in your collection that you don't watch 1000 times or love to death?

when i first started collecting blus i said, "no matter what i buy, i keep" because when i collected DVD's i sold a whole bunch and then re-bought a bunch so it was a waste. but as soon as i watched Showgirls (blind buy that sounded "so hilariously bad it's great") and realized i couldn't even sit through it. i said, "i can't have this on my shelf anymore" and from then, i quickly started killing off select members of my collection.

i used to have upwards of 220 blus, and now it's down to around 65.
sure, every once and awhile i may get an urge to watch something i no longer own, but that happens very rarely. so for me, i'm good so far.

and honestly, when i bought Kick-Ass, as soon as it ended i said, "i didn't like this. and now i can't have this on my shelf" and i got rid of it as soon as possible because i didn't like knowing it was next to movies i actually enjoy and love. but that's just me

I mistyped that. I meant to suggest that it was better than Crank and Watchmen. I guess it's because I enjoy Harryhausen's work so much.

I've only collected movies I'm enthusiastic about and I don't have a huge collection so there aren't any I would call duds. I would say the best is Casablanca and the "worst" is Pirates of the Caribbean.

johnns,

I wish I had a collection that small. It wouldn't be so hard to decide what to watch on a daily basis if I had a collection that small.

when you guys talk about selling these, is it even worth it to sell them on ebay? wouldn't the shipping cost more than the disk is worth? where do you sell them?

Hmm, tough question with such a small collection but I would say

BEST: Band of Brothers, Up, North By Northwest, Watchmen
WORST: Matrix Revolutions (but it's part of the trilogy box set so not sure if it counts), The Searches (Good film but I just don't see much replay value in it yet - will rewatch to re-evaluate), Shoot 'Em Up (I like the film but between this and Wanted, I prefer Wanted).
