Canada to get Wave 1 of Warner Bros. SteelBooks™ (Nationwide Release)

Based on something I read elsewhere I think its safe to say these are from Europe however in the same sense, WB is the same company that releases DVD sized steels all the time, so I am torn.

Excellent news if true, that would make sense why they would be re-releasing IAL. Brana I doubt would have any input if this is going to be a nationwide Canada release.

actually, if you looks at the pic of the Departed DVD steel.. there is a boat in the bottom left corner. The blu steel pic posted by OP has no boat... it looks like the bottom of the steel was lopped off and they just shortened the pic.

It could be a mockup, or could be real. The pics ARE different though.. so the mockup seems to indicate the size could be different.

These look sweet! That 300 one is very nice. Too bad I already have two copies of that movie.

I really love The Departed steelbook. Think Best Buy had a DVD steel of that back when it came out. Always wanted it!

This makes people like me (those who collect the Steelbooks because they like them and not because they can make wads of cash on them) VERY VERY Happy. Though I do feel bad for the folks who handed over large sums of their hard earned to get titles like IAL.

Shoot, just saw these, sweet!

I will be getting these: I am Legend (wasn't a huge fan of the movie, but the SB looks sweet), The Dark Knight (double dipping for banner-less SB), V for Vendetta, The Departed, and maybe 300.

Shoot, I cannot wait Batman Begins and the other wave 2s; I was thinking of getting the German double-sided release but now I can save the money and hassle of importing.
