DC Universe Online & Dead Nation (when the DCUO servers are down ) - supposedly I'm playing LBP2 & DA:O Ultimate Edition too but it's been easier to play Dead Nation when the DCUO servers are down instead of swapping discs. (Is that pathetic?)

Killzone 3 beta and God of War III. I'm having a hard time getting into GOWIII (i'm not big on QTE (takes me out of hte game as it doens't feel like I'm doing the combat) and will probably just play through it then sell as it doesn't seem like I'll want to replay it after. I'm not that far (Hades area, just got the bow) though so maybe my thoughts will change once I get a little further.

I have been playing Two Worlds 2. Great game for anyone looking to bridge the gap until we get Diablo 3 or even the new Dungeon Siege.

Once you get past the 1 hr prologue, Two Worlds 2 is definitely a fun and engrossing game.

Cool, I've watched some videos and it looks interesting. Demon's Souls has made me want more hack n slash games that you travel around. How expansive is the world?

If you want a nice slower paced, non-twitch game, this is it. It's a great break from games like Killzone and Halo.

The world is huge. I've logged 15 hours and haven't explored the entire place. It's large, you get a horse to ride around on as well. There are caves and temples to explore which you'll find just roaming the landscape.

The best part about the game, is that you can break down weapons and armor that you find into raw materials...and use those materials to upgrade weapons and armor you're using (you can also upgrade weapons to hold more slots for gems and you can upgrade the gems as well). This does 2 things, it doesn't require you to always be looking for a weapon w/ a marginal upgrade in damage and it lightens your carry load...as the raw materials don't count toward your carry capacity or don't count as much...so you don't have to teleport to town and sell off all the equipment so often.

The voice acting can be cheesy, but it's meant to be funny and sometimes over the top. The gameplay is where it's at...and I'm having a blast.

edit - one thing to note - when you upgrade your weapon/armor/shield w/ gems you can also take them out and transport them to another item...which is awesome.

Thanks for the mini-review. That sounds like a much better approach, I like it! I'll have to check out for sure.

If you can get it on sale in a few months, check it out. I played the first one all the way through, even w/ some glitches.

It's not oblivion or fallout, but it's not supposed to be either. I think that's where people get hung up. It's a vast engrossing item spawning 3rd person action RPG with probably over 100 hours of gameplay.

I haven't even learned the card stacking magic system yet...as my guy is a warrior/assassin/archer...but it looks very indepth as well.

btw...I looked at the map last night. I've explored 1/3 of the continent that I'm on. There appears to be several different ones... Thank god for teleports.

I'm a fool. I downloaded the Assasssins Creed II (1 hour trial) last night, got a phone call before I had a chance to turn it on. I just left it running, did some laundry, came back. Demo expired! lol

I must have got 1/2 hour so far, so I've got a long long ways to go...

I didn't even realize this was a sequel. The guy behind the counter at the store told me about how bad the first game apparently was. So far, this one is maybe a little glitchy, but still looks cool and fun.

The first game was glitchy, but they patched it to make it fully playable and enjoyable. It really shouldn't have been released in its state...but I believe the game got a bad rep. I played the first...probably over 100 hrs, can't remember. I'd give it a solid 7.5/10...just for how expansive the world is...and the gameplay was fun as well.

In Two Worlds II, once you get out of the linear prologue, the game will start to get good. You'll get to a town called Bayan, then you'll have the freedom of choice from there.
