It's just a crime that such a beautiful, charming and talented actress is being wasted in these buck ninety-eight indies that essentially go straight-to-streaming after playing in fifty theaters. MEW should be headlining major movies, but I suppose the box office failure of Scott Pilgrim might have influenced her career choices. Our loss.

That, and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. I don't know why though, because she did Smashed with Aaron Paul, which got her a lot of buzz. Once she married Riley she started making only his garbage movies basically, and has pretty much chosen love over acting. Maybe her new PBS show will get her somewhere again.... Probably not though. Shame. She should be garnering oscars and franchises, not making straight to streaming, never released on disk, crappy indie films.

Is she being wasted or is she just making awful choices? If you look at her filmography, it's mostly horror movies(Final Destination 3, Black Christmas, The Thing, Abraham Lincoln, Death Proof) or superhero flicks(Sky High, Scott Pilgrim). Then there are the occasional indie pictures like Smashed and The Spectacular Now that are critically acclaimed, but did very little business at the box office.

Her one big breakout moment was after Die Hard 4 and she chose to do a dance movie(Make It Happen) that I don't even think made it to theaters, at least not in the States. It's a shame cuz I think she's insanely hot and very talented to boot, but at 31 years old, it's possible her shot at a big career may have already passed. Hopefully she does eventually find that one role in either a movie or TV show that makes her a star, but it ain't looking good.
