Coverart looks better then the UK one ... still i would have preferred the orig. Poster artwork.

Nonetheless Barbarian is first day purchase for damn sure, love the setting, the score ... the world feels just so genuine its like this really could have happen a long time ago

I love it.

I am surprised Universal is not porting over the DVD art. They are usually pretty good at using original theatrical art for the blu covers.

I agree, as they seem to be doing this with: Animal House, Blues Brothers, Dazed & Confused and Fast Times!
I know it would cost a tiny bit more money, but what if studios made a flipper insert? That way you could have to original cover art AND the newly updated cover art to use at your discretion. Two options are always better than one! Just a thought!

The Digital Bits is reporting that Conan the Barbarian will have the audio commentary with Arnold, so maybe all hope isn't lost just yet...

UK cover art is terrible! Full of colors.. Look like Conan of the future or something like that!

I would much rather have had both cases in a slipbox like the Karate Kid films.

Finally Conan The Barbarian with a 5.1 audio mix! I canīt wait.
I really hope they use the re-recording of the Basil Poledouris soundtrack. It really sounds amazing!

After reading Ken Brown's review for American Graffiti, mediocre transfer with a heavy spike of edge enhancement, I'm pretty nervous what Universal will do to Conan. Thankfully Fox is releasing it in the UK, I might go for that release, it comes out 3 weeks earlier anyway.

Careful with that one, Conan has been censored in the UK previously.

I'm sure....and thanks for the great cover art pics! Even though I have the SE DVD, I would really like to see the original theatre poster(1st pic) for the BD...but I know there is pretty much no chance of that happening.
Hey I'm glad that Bill Hunt is reporting that the commentary WILL be included. Now it's just a waiting game for the review to be posted!
