i doubt ayngaran will do the mistake of not adding the DTS when it was added in MENU.

Two independent members, nishomac and rkdigitals, have confirmed that when they go to the "Main Menu" and select the "DTS" option, it doesn't work. Sounds like the DVD menu has the option to choose DTS, but actually doesn't have that soundtrack on the disc.. I have to agree though, it isn't like Ayngaran to make an elementary mistake like this, given their exceptional track record.

it also happened to 2 another films as well....vennila kabai kulu and yutham sei !! NO DTS ONLY DOLBY

IF ANYONE CAN CONFIRM THAT IT HAS DTS AUDIO OR NOT..THAT WOULD BE GREAT.OTHERWISE I WOULD HAVE TO RETURN MY ORIGINAL DISC BACK TO AYNGARAN..

Have you been able to confirm DTS output with other DVDs? Just want to make sure that the problem isn't with your receiver.

there is no problem with the receiver..because other films with DTS are working like kaavalan, myna, singam, aadukalam, boss engira baskaran, naan mahan alla....SO THIS HAS TO BE AYNGARANS FAULT !!!!

maybe its authoring mistake coz in ayngarn website only dolby digital is mentioned and not dts. I start to wonder if ayn stopped including dts track for future release.

I've been informed by AP International (who authored the DVD disc) that the KO should contain a DTS track.

Ayngaran are still committed to DTS audio for DVD (except for feature films that exceed 2Hrs 45Min).

Can someone use mediainfo to check if the DVD VOB file does contains both Dolby and DTS track? I don't have the original DVD disc at hand.

The forthcoming blu-ray of KO will contain only a DTS-MA track - we couldn't use LPCM 5.1 due to space issue. The picture (which features some fast action movements) required a higher bit rate to ensure optimum encoding.

you are correct someone should check if it has DTS or DOLBY or BOTH...because I bought the original disc of KO and only dolby was working but there a was a audio option menu..

i dont know if my disc is faulty or if its the same everywhere but i also bought yutham sei DVD as well and for that there was no DTS only DOLBY.

if you can also get the disc of KO and check it out that would be really helpful and this issue could be resolved !!

I just checked ayngaran site and now they have updated ko and yutham Sei DVD details. Now it had dts and Dolby !!!

what's happening.. Have they released another version or something..

i guess ayngaran would have taken decision of removing DTS in very last min,

the version with dolby is 6.9gb so if it got additional DTS track which shouldbe 800-900mb for 2hr.45mins movie so it comes around almost 7.7-7.8gb with DTS track

so they might have removed DTS in last min just my guess

IF THERE IS NO DTS THEN IM HAPPY ..I WOULD NOT HAVE TO RETURN MY DISC BACK TO AYNGARAN!! BUT I WOULD DEFINETLEY MAKE A COMPLAINT FOR CHEATING THE LOYAL CUSTOMERS..(THATS IF THERE IS NO DTS AUDIO)
