Kemcha's first post I defended, this one not so much. After Bill Hunt's post on his site, I think it's good to speculate on a possible release date. Is that not what makes these forums fun, among other things?
Yes I would like to see this: Jurassic Park release date: **/**/201* but until then have some fun about it. Afterall this is good news for both fans of the movies AND blu-ray as a format.
So how about this for a pretty good line up:
9/6: Scarface
9/13: Star Wars
9/20: Dumbo(US)
9/27: Ben-Hur?
10/4: Lion King
10/11: Jurassic Park?

Edit: According to http://www.dvdaf.com they have the release date as 10/25.

I'll definitely be getting this. How soon after release will depend on price, as the first one is the only one I am really dying to have.

Agreed lol. Hopefully we will see individual releases (or at least just for the first one) before too long.

Yeah, I only really want the first one. I made the "Boxset" mistake with the Alien Anthology. The less said about Alien: Resurrection, the better.

good god, what an absolutely crushing third quarter for blu releases!

EDIT: wonder if this will be November / December since SS and GL are good buddies i'm sure they don't wanna fight for sales when Star Wars comes out.

Yeah, I don't see Universal scheduling this too close to the Star Wars release. I think we will see it before Thanksgiving/Black Friday though.

This is great news. I actually prefer the third one to the second one.

Me too. The first was fantastic, but I enjoyed all and have no reservation about a day one purchase for the entire box set. Great news.

This is easily becoming the best year for classic blockbusters on blu. I'm beyond psyched for this news and even though I consider the first JP leagues better than the sequels I still have a soft spot for 2 and 3. Can't wait

I probably prefer the third one to all of them. The first one lost me whenever Spielberg basically backed the characters against a wall, then removed the wall and provided an escape route. Laziest and worst continuity error I've ever seen on film. You can't just change the established geography because you have no other way to get the characters out of the situation (I'm referring to the T-Rex introduction scene where the T-Rex rips through a fence, then the characters escape through the newly-created hole in the fence and there is now a 50 foot drop... this "escape" reminds me of when the Road Runnder would paint a black tunnel onto a mountain, use it to escape, then the coyote would run into it).

I do believe we will have Jurassic Park before Christmas... and that's good enough for me. I do find it somewhat interesting that a number of members already have the Jurassic Trilogy in their collection..... Hmmmmm......
