London Drugs 15% off Blu-Rays - Page 5 - Blu-ray Forum

They had a decent amount of titles in a box at the closest LD. Had most of the movies already so did not buy anything. Prices were: $9.99, 7.99, 5.99. I saw things like: Arrival, GI Joe 2, a Kate Upton movie, Why Him?, some Wimpy Kids ones, Meatballs, some Narnia ones. And more I cannot remember.

If you know the standard LD operation you are hounded by reps so I couldn't get a picture.

A couple LDs had these bins out before Christmas. I got Rings for $7.99 on Saturday.

I picked up The Revenant at LD for $7.99. This is the same as what Amazon is selling it for.

Surprised to see London Drugs carrying Attack of the Killer Tomatoes and they also had the lowest price at $24.99.

London Drugs had A Star Is Born (1976) (amaray release) for $8.99 ($1 cheaper than Amazon.ca).

I saw that London Drugs are carrying Return of Swamp Thing for $24.99 as well. Amazon.ca is currently selling it for $42+ with shipping in 2-5 weeks!

Is this the same version of RETURN OF THE SWAMP THING? It was recently re-released.

It is the release from MVD. It has never been released on blu-ray in NA before.

Popping this old thread up because I saw some more MVD releases in-store today and I've never heard of MVD. LOL

130th location had Walking Tall and Autumn in New York and both had slip covers and $19.99 stickers on them. Did not really look too closely to see what else might be there and did not get anything.

The only other MVD titles that London Drugs carry are Attack of the Killer Tomatoes and The Return of Swamp Thing.

MVD have actually released a few interesting things. I would definitely check them out. My only complaint with them is that they are very hit and miss with subtitles. If I am paying $20 or more for a blu-ray, I expect subtitles on the disc.

My local London Drugs had the 4K of 2001: A Space Odyssey in store for $46.99... I couldn't find it anywhere else in store, so I went in to get them to price match Best Buy's online advertised price of $31.99 and when they scanned it, it came up as $30.99 which is the best price I've seen it for in Canada (I also had a $5 LD Extras coupon so I got it even cheaper!).

Transformers 5-Film 4K box set is $71.99 at London Drugs (10 discs w/ slip).

Picked up nada from LD movie-wise this year. They did not have any special boxes, but I did see signs across the media area. Whether they were decent sale prices was a whole other matter.

LD did have some decent game prices. Picked up Sonic Forces. It was $4.99 on PS4/XB or $9.99 on Switch.

I used the stock checker online and found the store here at Heritage popped up. Then when I was there I found they had 2 more for NSW than it said online when they had it up on the computer. Both stores showed not available when I checked online so I'm guessing it is right some of the time. But I have had scenarios like you when the online stock checker was wrong. I was by the Heritage location today so decided to stop in to see if they had stock (I didn't see your post at the time) and they were sold out as well. But looking on their site it looks like the sale is over so I guess it didn't matter after all.

Went to 3 EB Games looking for Fire Emblem Warriors and had no luck so decided to try price matching at London Drugs and they ended up doing it hassle free.

I was in LD today... couldn't see much on sale. They had their 2/$15 previously viewed BDs for $4.99 each IIRC. I think that was it. So nothing to even worry about missing.
