This movie is very odd. If BB doesn't have it, maybe it will be out on Friday? Maybe next week? would love to see the ad for it tomorrow for next week.

My copy came earlier today - single disc set (BD+BD3D).

$8 movie money for the 2nd movie (printed on the back of the sticker, not an insert), and can only be entered from 1/31 - 2/26 (so you have to hold onto it for 2 weeks to use it). Movie money only valid until 2/26

I went to Best Buy today at lunch to pick up Ides of March for $12.99. While I was there I didn't see Journey 3D in the new release section or in the 3D section or in the regular blu-ray section. I asked one of the managers there who looked it up in their computer and they didn't get any in and he found it odd the release date said today but they didn't have any. He saw the other release scheduled for the 31st so he wasn't sure if the 17th date was an error or not. I probably wouldn't have bought it anyway since the price on their website is $42.99 so even with the upgrade and save it would still be more than I am willing to pay. Hopefully there will be a sale for it when they do get it in.

The delayed release could explain the lack of advertising and a decent sale price.

It might also explain the odd redemption dates for the movie money (came out today, but can't be redeemed until 1/31)

Good thing I forgot about this today. Otherwise I would've wasted a trip to the store. I don't know why the publisher set the retail price at 42.99. They must think everybody is rich. 39.99 would make a little more sense, but I still wouldn't pay that much. 24.99 is a decent price.

I would never, ever ever pay $42.99 for a DVD. In fact, I doubt I would pay $39.99! Or even $29.99. There is nothing different in the transfer process to DVD that warrants paying that much, so why should we get ripped off everytime a new DVD is released? I'm new to 3D but I find the whole consumer side of it pretty much a joke right now. Hollywood is pretty much clueless.

The one that i orderd from amazon at the super low 13.99 price back in November(before they caught their msrp and price error) didnt ship yet, it has always shown the Jan 31st date on my invoice.
I called them and said that It will arrive for me next week, and once again reassured me it is indeed the bluray 3D (and not the anaglyph or 2D version)that i am getting, and that the note from when i called in a few weeks back showed that if for some reason i dont get the bluray 3D version as the listing and invoice indicates that it is indeed that version, that they will send me the correct one when i notify them.

I have a feeling that the 31st has always been the correct date, even though a few people say that they got theirs from Amazon today.

Ah ok - didn't know when the movie opened. The odd part to me is that you basically have to hold onto a sticker for 2 weeks to redeem it.

In stock on January 20, 2012. Amazon.com. 31.99$. Has an outrageous list price of 44.99$. Is this movie made out of gold or something? I hope this isn't some kind of trend where the publisher thinks they can start ripping off consumers... List price should've been no higher than $39.99, like the other Blu Ray 3D movies of this style.

I agree that 31.99 is a bit too steep, considering I haven't actually seen the movie yet. I'll wait till it reaches 24.99 or less...

Best buy list price in some of the Disney 3d blu are 44.99 so not outta range but the price is too high for them. Old catalog movies should not be this expensive.

Damn movie still to high in price. I'm going to wait it out until the prices drop a bit. Looking for around the $24 mark. Anymore than that, ain't worth it.

For some stupid reason I really want to get this in 3D. I guess it's because it was the first (and only) anaglyph 3D Blu-ray I saw, and even though the PQ was horrible, it had some cool 3D effects. Based on the quality of the movie itself, I shouldn't pay more than $25, if that. However, I'm thinking about ordering it from Amazon for $31.99. Best Buy's price is insane, even if any of the local stores did have it in stock...

I promised myself that I wouldn't pay no frigin $32 for this 3D moodee... damnit, after a few days of arguing with myself, I lost the arguement, went online to Amazon and ordered the frigin moodee. Kicking myself in the ass... at least until the moodee gets here. Then I'll feel better after I watch it...

Ain't that the shits? Can't believe BB is plugging the hole up on this one... They probably still have the first case of blus of this movie collecting dust on the shelves. BUT, there are those that will pay through the nose when seeing all those pretty blus on the shelves. Not me, at least I will let Amazon screw me with a lower price...
