They made it and made the only versions that were awesome! It is their work on.

Yeah, I guess. Would be cool if Sony used some of the money ND made them to buy back the Crash IP and give it to ND to make it awesome again. I have fond memories of that franchise before it got milked over and over and over again.

Survival Horror is not my genre at all, but this looks irresistible.

Just when people are saying we need a PS4, ND release a game that visually blows everything else out of the water.

Has all the ingredients for a very good game. Now I know why UC3 felt so unpolished compared to UC2, because they are working on this

If this game was by anybody other than ND I wouldn't be in the slight bit interested which I think is the same for a lot of people.
ND have got their work cut out because everybody is expecting another uncharted standard franchise. I'm sure ND will produce a good game but I'm worried it won't live up to the hype this game is going to receive.

I know, I should be shot for quotes like that, but I just felt it was. I won't go into to much detail as it's off topic, but UC3 is a good game and has some great scenes but just something was missing from UC3 that UC2 had. It felt rushed in some ways.

I can see why people might think it lacked something but don't think it was polish

I think it did. And I'm the biggest Uncharted nut out there! Uncharted 3 was lacking polish in the character development/explanation department. I never cared about beating the villains like I did in the second game. I think this was mainly because of how little we saw them and how little we knew about who they were and what faction they were with. It was quite boring from that perspective. The graphics, set pieces, and individual scene work was all very well polished though. It just needed that little extra something to piece it all together properly like the second game.

In relation to the topic, I really hope that Naughty Dog hears what people are saying about the lacklustre result of the overall Uncharted 3 experience and returns to analyze their full product of The Last Of Us before going gold. It really does look extremely promising at this early stage "of the game" (pun intended).

This is what I mean, but I didn't want to go off topic. This is just what I meant by UC3 being unpolished. You can't fault ND for graphics and gameplay but they let themselves down in the character deveplment area with UC3 compared to UC2.

Hmm, well I suppose it all boils down to how someone interprets "polish" You see to me what you described is not polish, you just feel the game was lacking in the character development/explanation department

I see polish as when a game is pretty much finished and dev will start looking at little things in graphics, enviorment and just overall presentation.

Thats why i said i can understand why some people will feel U3 is lacking in something ie. character development/story but as far as polish goes to me U3 is a highly polished game

Not sure where I stand on what I want from this game, I feel like an open world FO3 done right with tons of zombies, infected everywhere could be ground breaking, but while a linear game like dead space could be fun. I just wouldn't want what I would do in Uncharted 1 where I'd draw the enemies out to me, then take them out slowly (doesn't really create a sense of urgency).

Again to me that's not lacking in polish

Now we are definitely getting off-topic. I tied my explanation back into The Last Of Us, but we've since veered off course.

I just hope that they have their testers play the game through with more focus than simply finding graphical errors and level design flaws. I'm pretty sure that's what happened with their last game. Their testers didn't give any feedback about the overall experience. Had I been a tester, they would have been getting tons of questions from me about story/character details that were left TOO MUCH to the player's imagination without any definitive resolution in the end.

Perhaps those responsible for that polish with Uncharted 2 were reassigned to The Last Of Us. That would explain a lot and give plenty of reassurance for this upcoming release.

I thought TLOU and UC3 were developed by different teams within ND?

I still haven't even got UC3, but in a couple of weeks...

You worry too much Petra. We are talking about what effects ND working on The Last of Us had on the production of their other franchise

I doubt your going to get that six. I think it's going to be on the Uncharted engine and a linear story driven game with excellent acting.

Are we allowed to call them zombies?
