The other 51% is owned by beIN Media Group, which is owned by the government of Qatar, bizarrely. I think it may be up to beIN to decide what, if anything, to do with the Miramax catalog.

Right now, as far I know, Paramount has the contract to distribute Miramax's titles. So, they essentially decide who gets what from the Miramax titles they still have. Lions Gate has bought-up some of the Smith and Tarantino titles, so there no longer under Miramax. Unless I'm misinformed. If anything, it should be just like those who want MGM titles have to go through Warner, until their contract expire.
