Per WBShop facebook page, The Iron Giant blu-ray is in the works, and likely will be released very soon. It's vaguely hinted that movie will be released as special edition. A digibook or UCE perhaps?

I remember Cartoon Network's 24 hour marathon of this. Used to be all that I watched on that day. Glad to know a Blu is coming.

I'd be down for that, but considering it's a catalog animated title, I wouldn't be surprised if it's just an amaray with the word "Special Edition" on it.

I'm pumped for this! I loved it as a kid, and from what I remember of the setting and time period (as well as the motivations of certain characters) I'm sure I'll enjoy it even more now that I'm older.

I haven't watched it in years, so this'll be a Day One for sure.

I used to have the HD broadcast version and it didn't look great, so hopefully they are using a better source for the Blu.

This and the Batman animated films in addition to Quest for Camelot made my childhood.

I'd buy them both the minute they're released.

Maybe this is why it's not available for streaming on Netflix anymore. I use to watch this like twice a month up until late June I believe.

Like i've said many times before, this is a childhood favorite of mine and also just one of my favorite animated films of all time! I'd buy it on Blu Ray in a heartbeat!!

Bout time! This is long over due on blu but if its going to be something special then im glad they waited. This film is definitely my favorite animated movie.

Great film and I can't wait to have it on blu! I dug out the special edition dvd recently to show my 4 1/2 year old stepson who had never seen it. He LOVED it! He keeps saying he wants some Iron Giant toys now (which are long gone now and can be expensive on ebay).

Was hoping they'd release it just in time for Christmas. Guess not. But even if it's first/second quarter of next year I wouldn't mind! Wonder what special features they're cookin' up for this one.

O man that would be awesome. It doesn't even have to be a super special edition for that one, which I doubt they'll do. That and Balto.
