Looks like a nice set but I'm totally happy with the Complete 8-Film Collection that I picked up a few months back.

Disc 1 - Sorcerer's Stone BD
Disc 2 - Sorcerer's Stone Special Features Disc 1 (This is a DVD)
Disc 3 - Sorcerer's Stone Special Features Disc 2 (featuring "Creating the World of Harry Potter Part 1: The Magic Begins")
Disc 4 - Sorcerer's Stone DVD

Disc 5 - Chamber of Secrets BD
Disc 6 - Chamber of Secrets Special Features Disc 1 (This is a DVD)
Disc 7 - Chamber of Secrets Special Features Disc 2 (featuring "Creating the World of Harry Potter Part 2: Characters")
Disc 8 - Chamber of Secrets DVD

Disc 9 - Prisoner of Azkaban BD
Disc 10 - Prisoner of Azkaban Special Features Disc 1 (This is a DVD)
Disc 11 - Prisoner of Azkaban Special Features Disc 2 (Featuring "Creating the World of Harry Potter Part 3: Magical Creatures")
Disc 12 - Prisoner of Azkaban DVD

Disc 13 - Goblet of Fire BD
Disc 14 - Goblet of Fire Special Features Disc 1 (This is a DVD)
Disc 15 - Goblet of Fire Special Features Disc 2 (featuring "Creating the World of Harry Potter Part 4: Sound and Music")
Disc 16 - Goblet of Fire DVD

Disc 17 - Order of the Phoenix BD
Disc 18 - Order of the Phoenix Special Feature (featuring "Creating the World of Harry Potter Part 5: The Evolution of Harry Potter")
Disc 19 - Order of the Phoenix DVD

Disc 20 - Half-Blood Prince BD
Disc 21 - Half Blood Prince Special Features (featuring "Creating the World of Harry Potter Part 6: Special Effects)
Disc 22 - Half-Blood Prince DVD

Disc 23 - Deathly Hallows Pt 1 BD
Disc 24 - Deathly Hallows Pt 1 3D BD
Disc 25 - Deathly Hallows Pt 1 Special Features (featuring "Creating the World of Harry Potter Part 7: Growing Up Potter")
Disc 26 - Deathly Hallows Pt 1 DVD
Disc 27 - Deathly Hallows Pt 2 BD
Disc 28 - Deathly Hallows Pt 2 3D BD
Disc 29 -Deathly Hallows Pt 2 Special Features
Disc 30 - Deathly Hallows Pt 2 DVD
Disc 31 - Wizards Collection Exclusive Special Features Disc

18 Movie Discs (8 BD, 8 DVD, 2 3D) , 13 Special Feature Discs (4 DVD, 9 BD)

As mentioned, the special feature discs (except disc 31) mirror exactly what is in the Ultimate editions (2 each in the first 4, and 1 each in the rest). I don't think adding DVD supplements are necessary because no one is really buying this set for the DVD's. The DVD movies are sort of an extra bonus. I think we'll see a specific DVD only release and a Blu-ray only release too for a lot less than this Wizards collection (sub $200 I'd say).

I think this edition will also probably come with some sort of hardcover book combining all of the Creating the World of Harry Potter books from the Ultimate editions into one volume. That and probably some other bonus trinkets (trading cards, etc..) will help justify the high cost.

That's jsut my prediction, it could be totally wrong
Actually you and The Mad Kiwi posted the exact same list. Since the DISC 1 Supplements on the first 4 movies are DVDs.
I prefer that they condensed the extras in just 1 BD for each movie (like 5 & 6). But that's not gonna happen since they are listing 31 discs. I just HATE the menus of those DVD's (specially Sorcerer's Stone).

So basically I'll just get the remaining Ultimate Editions and be done.

That new box looks cool but it will probably be cheap card stock. Plus where will I ever put it?

Late to respond, but if you check the previous pages you'll see that he pointed it out and I acknowledged they're one and the same. I was tripped up by his wording of DVD Supplement, as I thought he meant there'd be a BD special features disc, and an exact copy of that for the DVD version.

I already posted this in the UK topic but this may interest those wishing to import the box set:

Quote:
Please correct me if I'm wrong but for all those non-UK residents wishing to import this set they don't have to pay V.A.T so the price is more like £162.49 rather than the £194.99 listed on amazon.co.uk.

It's also been my experience that you get free shipping if your order is over a certain amount, which I'm sure this would qualify for considering its high price.
That's approximately $257 USD at today's exchange rate.

That's easier to stomach than the price of the Region A release. And since this is Warner, it's (hopefully) guaranteed to be region free. Hm.

It'll be $261 with shipping, but keep in mind none of the DVD's included will be playable on US players unless they support PAL

Yup, the DVDs in the UK box could well be PAL region 2 versions though, caveat emptor and all that...

Anyone know if the UK UEs carried PAL or NTSC bonus DVDs?

Just read a blurb about this set on another site. Just the first two movies will have their extended/ultimate editions included? Not the others? That kind of sucks.

The filmmakers for the remaining flicks didn't have either the time or inclination to extend their movies. That's A Good Thing™ IMO, because I don't like bloat added to movies for the sake of it (even ones as long as these).

Oh, and bear in mind that the UK Ultimate Editions had the extended cuts of Philosopher's Stone and Chamber of Secrets on DVD only, so if Warners are just filling the UK set with existing discs then watch out.

31 Discs. That is a lot of discs. I have picked up all of the movies on Blu-ray over the years, and I do not think I have 31 discs.

This is my guess. The amount of discs of the Wizards Collection was mentioned here before and I copied that

I think 7.1 and 7.2 UEs will have similar content as the other UEs
Maybe 2 more discs for the 3D versions.

The US releases all had 2 Blu-rays where the UK version had one blu-ray disc.
I really hope we get all the bonus features in HD this time and not in Standard Definition!

Pigging-backing on ssjmichael, here's the official site for the collection:

http://www.harrypotterwizardscollection.com/

I don't know if they've "unlocked" all of the details yet but there's plenty of information.

LOL @ all the people who are ordering this. Have you not read the customer reviews?

88 one stars and 29 two-five stars. That's AWFUL. Apparently half the stuff that's described isn't even included. Sounds like TRASH.

Thanks, but I think I'll just stick with this, when it goes down in price just a bit more:

Have YOU read the customer reviews? Everything advertised is in fact included. Plus, no one has actually RECEIVED a set yet. People are just mad that there aren't extended editions of movies 3-8.
