You realize they probably won't be sold out for awhile, there hasn't been as much interest in this set as WB wanted, this is due to people who already have the movies and don't care for anything else, people having the Ultimate Editions, like me, and those people who just can't afford it, which is a lot of people

The facts are they chose a terrible time to release this anyway. There is a lot coming out over the next few months.I have better things to spend $350.00 on than a rerelease of the same movies.Doubt this will sell out immediately. Most limited editions never sell out that quick especially in the usa. Most people ***** about the price of movies as it is and americans are cheap.Would like to be able to buy it too but if it is still available in a few months fine.If not than I did not lose much by not buying it.

Check this quote out it will probably be sold out before it hits stores.

Agreed. I really, really want this set, but I find it hard to believe it will sell out before release. Yes, I know there are only 63,000 worldwide, but the amount of people who would be willing to spend so much money on this set is pretty slim.

As someone whose on a very limited budget I've worked out a way I might be able to buy this set, but at the same time there's a measure of doubt that I could spend that money on something much more worthwhile, and I'm sure there are plenty of other people in a similar position to me. I've kept it on pre-order for the time being, but I wouldn't surprise myself if I cancelled it.

I have a feeling it will only sell out once the price drops radically enough that most people will pay money for it.

The preorder deadline would most likely only count for those who bought directly from warner brothers. Most online retailers still have it listed on their sites to order. They would obviously remove the ability to be able to order it if they had sold out of the inventory they have available.

Why does wb shop still have it available for preorder if supposedly there is a deadline to order by? Personally I am not buying the hype.It just sounds like marketing propaganda too bolster up sales.http://www.wbshop.com/product/code/1...liderHPWIZhome

Yeah I wouldn't put to much thought into that quote by Reddwarf6662, he has been repeating that for the last week or more without a single shred of evidence. Although I still think people are underestimating the demand of a set like this. The only reason I can see the price staying as high as it is in the US is because it is selling. The price is much lower everywhere else (Canada is $299, UK is £179 which is about $285 US).

I wouldn't put much into your's either. I mentioned the preorder deadline once and replied to the question by Florida Boy of what was the date they listed. The preorder deadline date was the 31st of July for retailers to have their orders in to guarantee to cover the orders they had. I messed up when I put the 29th of July. Warner had a very high demand for this collection. As far as retailers still allowing preorders to take place of course they will. Some people will cancel before the set is released and some people's credit cards or payment option may decline causing their order to be canceled. So retailers will take more orders then the amount they can actually sell. This happened with the massive Dark Shadow DVD Set. http://www.amazon.com/Dark-Shadows-C...s=dark+shadows This DVD set had a higher price tag than the Harry Potter set and sold out before it hit the stores with a limited edition of 2500. Everything in this set was available before with the exception of the Jonathan Frid autograph. The set sold so well that MPI brought it back out a few months later in a deluxe edition without Frid's autograph.

Oh I'm sorry, other people keep repeating it thinking that it means you can no longer order the set and you still haven't provided a shred of evidence that any of it is true.

Default Cancelled my pre-order today too

Honestly, I felt compelled to cancel this thing. I'm in deep for the first 6 Ultimate Edition Blu-Ray sets already, plus the two previously Best Buy exclusive 3D Blu Ray sets for movies 7 and 8. Enough is enough, already. Combine that with the big old massive 500 page book and the soon to be released revised Wizardry book, it's time to chill out on good old HP for a while. Besides, we're due a 7th and 8th Ultimate Edition sets, which look to be forthcoming in October of this year if rumors are to be believed.

Let's see.. that's money I can spend on.... Bond, James Bond.

As I mentioned over in the Ultimate Editions thread, the mysterious amazon pre-orders are really re-releases of HP 7 parts 1 and 2 in 3D for all retail stores rather than be exclusive to Best Buy, walmart has the same pricing up as amazon does: http://www.walmart.com/ip/21675183, that's how I know, the only 2 signs of life of the UE's are the German Websites and a tip from a Target employee saying the UE's are in the database with prices around $50, but no release date at this time

I have mine coming from columbia house (hopefully) since it was $299 - coupon codes w/ free shipping. (Unfortunately they charge tax, but now so does Amazon). Don't say it's small... the photos from Hong Kong have my hopes very high for this thing.

I'm from Australia and I got my copy on Tuesday. Unfortunately, 2 of the discs seem to be missing content. Both discs in Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2 that are meant to have the last 2 'creating the world of Harry Potter' documentaries as well as new special features are not on there! I am extremely disappointed because i have all the other Ultimate Editions so the main reason I bought the Wizard's Collection was for the last two parts. When I put the discs in, both seem to only have the previously released special features, ie. the ones we all saw when we bought the indivdual releases of part 1 and 2.
Can anyone who has the collection please let me know if you have this content. The shop said i could swap it but something tells me this is a manufacturing error, possibly on all the australian ones.
