And that actually happens a few times here and there for a very short time before it goes right back up

I personally just want more individual steelbooks. I absolutely hate trilogy or quadriology releases. Cheaper? Mostly but i prefer individual artworks. Steelbooks to me are a piece of art to display and that's why i prefer individual movies. Gives you more to show off

Yeah I can see the first 3 MI films getting the treatment very soon. Especially since Paramount are throwing everything out now!

Why are they putting MI:GP back in stock every now and then?
Are people returning items or what? I thought this one was sold out a long time ago. And they keep raising the price every time they put it back in stock!!!

I wasn't aware it had happened before, but thought it may have something to do with them planning to release the previous versions in SteelBook format too......

Cancelled pre-orders that weren't reallocated? A box hidden at the back of the warehouse?

I guess it's hard to know - there's the possibility that they just held a few back to sell later.

Couldn't care less in the how or why if i was the person who missed it and didn't want to pay the large ebay pricing. I actually snagged it while it was on for £19.99 last time and really glad i did. Even though it does come back intermittently, the price never seemed to drop below that.

My only sadness is that X-men first class etc didn't also make an appearance like this again

Not to piss on anyone's chips but maybe the announcemount is for the steelbooks that already have placeholders - Ghostbusters, Evil Dead, etc? I wouldn't count them as officially announced until they're on sale - look at Watchmen and G.I. Joe. They've been up for a while now, who knows if they're ever going to actually be available?

I'm sure they will be eventually! They just seem to have sat on the 'notify me' shelf for quite a while rather than being 'announced' and on sale. I was just using them as an example.

Of course, should they decide not to release them then there's a plus side to your scenario. I mean, you've lost a copy of Watchmen but gained a space where G.I. Joe once was

I'll have you know I thought GI Joe was an awesome action movie! Here's my ultimate viewing evening: GI Joe, Battlefield Earth, Lady in the Water and ending with Last Airbender!

Individual STAR WARS needs to happen, that way I could pickup ESB, the one that isn't butchered in it's Special Edition form. ESB steelbook would be v-cool.

A UK version of the german ID4 steelbook would be cool.

Quite tempted to pre-order The Godfather steel,I don't own the amaray as gangster/mafia movies aren't my favourite genre.
I have only ever seen part 1 but have recently been in the mood for giving the trilogy a go.

They are as followed:

War of the Worlds
Transformers 1
Transformers 2
Transformers 3

Stardust
Cloverfield
Zulu
Mission Impossible 1
Mission Impossible 2
Mission Impossible 3
Anchorman
Untouchables
The Ring
The Ring 2

U can pretty much guarantee the ones voted the most will be plays next steelbooks. not very impressed by the titles myself but you can check out the results below.

it basically means mission impossible 1-3, untouchables, transformers 1 will be the winners

i would of personally loved to of seen a ring steelbook as its not even released in europe on blu ray yet! oh well...............

yes please on the bolded ones

I'd recently sold my Transformers 1 in hopes of importing the steel from Germany but I may just hold out a little longer.
Would be double dipping on T2 and T3 though as I've got the Imax T2 and 3D T3

The Day After Tomorrow
I'm with you on Starship Troopers

I'd also like to see some more Disney UK steels
Cars 2, POTC 4 and Prince of Persia are not enough
