Bruiser: [Yelps]

Bruiser: [Whines]

David: Come on boy...Wanna know my real problem? I don't know what I want out of life anymore. As a young dog you might find that hard to understand, but...

Good Lord that is some of the worst (not to mention "unnecessary") dialog I've ever heard...A kid at the ripe old age of "12" , telling his dog what it needs to do to "get the ladies" ...And I don't know what it is about the "Get back, Jack!" line, but everytime I hear that I just roll my eyes and laugh for about 10-15 seconds ...

Actually, as funny as it may sound, the more I watch this movie, the more Joey Cramer's character just annoys me...Thankfully, Paul Reubens carries the film ...
its just you

Mee too. The music was released on a composer promotional CD which I have. It's not available anymore unfortunately.

The only thing that disappointed me with this release was the lack of the 5.1 track which was on the German disc so I will hang on to my German copy as well.
and FrankyV you can get the score if you know where to look

I watched this the other night, not having seen it for at least 15 years, and having seen it nearly as many times as Labyrinth. I really enjoyed it still. There was a black spot on the middle right of the screen for a bit, and I thought it was my screen, but after it disappeared I knew it was on the print. It was nowhere near outstanding picture quality, but I would give it 4/5

Just read through the thread and saw conflicting reports...can anyone confirm if the UK edition was indeed region-free or not? Cheers!

The back cover states region free and I just tried the disc with my region free player set to Region A, B and C and it worked fine on all 3, so yes, it is indeed region free .

I had a copy of this movie taped from television when I was a kid that I watched all the time, I loved it. I hadn't seen it for years until a few days ago, after picking up the Blu-Ray, it was so great watching it again.

Might as well dig up my review of the UK BD, I never did get to post it in this thread: http://film.thedigitalfix.com/conten...navigator.html

YES it's region free and there's no PAL/50Hz content either, so it's entirely NA-friendly.

Considering that the film was theatrically released in stereo back in 1986, having "only" a 2.0 mix isn't such a bad thing. Better that than some of the half-baked up-mixes that other films get on BD...

2 Channel sound may have been cool in 1986, but here in 2015, it's a crime. And you don't buy Bluray's to watch a movie without surround sound regardless if it was filmed that way or not. Star Wars among many others, was theatrically released in 2.0 sound - but we're not watching it that way on DVD or Bluray are we?

I have no problem with an older film only including a steteo mix as long as it's lossless, no BD should have lossy audio as it's primary audio track.

I totally agree Indy. I don't care if the sound is mono only on the disc if that's how it was originally exhibited, because I don't want my speakers (all 7.1 of them) filled for the sake of it.

As for Star Wars, I do watch that in 2.0 on DVD if I'm watching the original theatrical versions.
