The mix at the theater I went to was seeping with clarity.

To change Bane's voice during the prologue for BD is to render that portion of the theatrical presentation moot. People who enjoyed it there (let's face it: more people enjoy the theatrical mix than the original prologue) will not be able to experience that creepily effective voice with the change. It is a disservice to the millions who paid to see it.

They'll probably wait until after the holidays to release the ultra super duper ultimate trilogy... You know, after we've all bought TDKR already

Since WB has put out a ton of steelbooks at BB and the last big WB release, Sherlock Holmes 2, received a nice steelbook, I think it's safe to assume TDKR will get a steelbook at BB.

Agreed. The audio mix(along with the film itself) was a complete mess. I wish he would release a director's cut to fix all of the plotholes and other issues with the film, but he won't. Nolan is such a hack writer. I really don't understand all the praise for his films. I still like them, I just think they are overrated.

They can release the trilogy in a paper bag so long as they properly remaster the first two films. Source the 35mm scenes from 35mm, not from the IMAX master, which has sharpening and DNR baked into the 35mm scenes.

Felt like 30 minutes to me, I could handle a 4 hour long Dark Knight Rises.
Bring on the extended cut Mr. Nolan!

I'll be getting a steelbook to go with the first two. I really hope they go from the 35mm/70mm source for the Blu-ray instead of giving us the overly sharpened IMAX version like on The Dark Knight. The Dark Knight Rises non-IMAX scenes looked bad.

The dialogue was really quiet, but Bane's dialogue was really loud.

But his "with no survivors" was changed. It was a lot creepier in the original prologue.

Is anybody laughting at the dissection of The Dark Knight Rises where we have people bellyaching about the alleged political undertones of the movie. Never mind that we have BOTH camps complaining about something, whether it be Liberal media conspiracies or attacking the Occupy Wall Street and other recent, similar movements. I thought The Dark Knight Rises demonstrated perfectly what happens when there no longer order and stability in a big urban center like Gotham City, when those restort to vilgantisim and act on impulse, how sometimes you have individuals (like Bane) who, being the concern trolls they are, pretend to be "for the people" but only act out on their own interets. Those who saw the film know what I'm talking about.

I concede the movie is somewhat in-depth but to the point of making political statements?

But +1 to the switching aspect ratio.
I really hope it does have the switching aspects, I love that about The Dark Knight blu-ray. It's supposed to be, what, 80 minutes of IMAX footage? Can't wait to see it in HD.

Seriously. My wife and I both agreed it was the shortest 2 and a half hours of our lives. I could go for an extended cut, won't happen though.

It was long, yes, but also it was rushed. That's because there was just way too much stuff put in.

True. And that line wasn't hard to understand in the prologue, although the music nearly drowned it out. I did like the line deliveries in the prologue better(he sounded too high pitched and excited in the theatrical release), but there's no denying dude's dialogue was nearly impossible to decipher in the original mix.

Ive hold on buying the first two because I'm pretty sure they're going to release a mega-set with the trilogy and some collectible.
I can't wait for something like this!

Well, you kind of have to be one of the producers that makes those decisions.
