Still waiting on my Amazon order (free delivery), hoping it comes tomorrow. Anyone else in the same boat? They've never been this slow for me before.

I got mine from Amazon.co.uk, but it says they're currently unavailable.

When mine dispatched though, it said "dispatched within 2-3 months, so I think they must be either hard to find, or I was just really lucky.

Something is wrong at Amazon. My Steelbook turned up a day late even though I used release day delivery and my friends and family who ordered the standard edition still don't have there copies despite them all being dispatched last Saturday.

I guess with Black Friday and people ordering more stuff for Christmas they've just had a lot of work load to get through. I hope so anyway :/

Apparently yes. It seems to be the same as the US disc with Latin Spanish and Canadian French.

I'd assume it's exactly the same, because the film displays the US R rating card at the end of the film (not that it does much good once you've already seen the film). Though the label contains the UK, Irish and Australian classifications, so presumably they've done a different label for the states...

United Kingdom Ted and Ted 2 UK Release Differences

What’s the difference between the original releases by Universal and re-releases by Fabulous Films? The original one only has 1 disc, but Fabulous Films has 2 discs.

I e-mailed Fabulous Films and asked them about their release- I received this reply:

"One version of each on the discs
Extended Version Runtime 112mins approx
Theatrical Version Runtime 106 mins approx
Bonus Runtime 63mins approx

The film content and bonus content is the same"
.

The original versions get everything onto one disc each via branching. That is such a bizarre downgrade!

I imagine either the materials weren't supplied 'ready for branch encoding' or the facility that Fabulous Films used were unable to do branch encoding / authoring.

It might also be a cost issue, as historically Studios had much higher budgets for disc authoring than smaller UK / Boutique labels. Are the Fabulous Films discs English only, or do they contain all of the dub and subtitle languages of the original Universal releases?

The strange thing about this is Fabulous usually reuse the original encoding and disc structure for Universal stuff wherever it already exists, only adding their own ident to the beginning.

Hmm, that's very strange. I assume they normally just pay a fee to the original authoring facility to restore the project and swap out the logo if everything else is the same. Perhaps in this case the original authoring archive couldn't be found, so the disc(s) were rebuilt from scratch, and it was cheaper to do two discs with a straight feature on each, rather than rebuild the seamless branching authoring.

I just assume that Universal provided Studio Master files for their films, for Fabulous to author using their local facility. I think Universal historically used Deluxe.
