Texas Chainsaw 3D has been released in various region locked and region free editions. See comparison of Texas Chainsaw 3D blu-ray releases. There is also a Canadian release with an alternate title card and a Hong Kong release which is probably the R-rated version like all the others except the French and unrated German releases (region B locked) which are the only ones that include the unrated cut of the film. Thanks. I'm a big fan of the original 1973-4 TCM movie thanks to it's comical villains especially, who were well developed characters and not one dimensional as Leatherface was in the past remake.

Hopefully this one remembers what made the first one great. Letting the actors improvise and give their scenes some breathing room to shine.

This was made in 3D? Or post converted?

I heard it flopped at the theaters which dont surprise me. But I will have to pick it up when it comes out or rent it.

Dont know how it flopped. the budget was like $8M and made $34M domestically.

yikes! what a terrible, terrible movie.. not quite as bad as spiders but around that level.

was there any point whatsoever for this to be 3d? barely any noticeable 3d and nothing memorable.

[Show spoiler]am i supposed to feel bad for that family of sickos? haha... and to believe the girl would support that psycho mutant after it killed her close friends and butchered a bunch of innocents because of a paper and a letter? oh my god... she's going to stay there and take care of it? ... and the sheriff lets them go and let's them kill and let's that cop go in there alone? a mass murderer, and where the heck is fbi... the whole thing is completely dreadful.
thankfully the girl had a nice body which was at least something to distract from the awful movie.

imdb rating i'd give it 3/10.
and that 3 is only because hot girls always bring in at least a point or two or more depending on the hotness.

if you want to watch this for some reason, do yourself a favor and rent it first or netflix it.

I agree 100%. I will watch any horror movie and generally I find something to like. I hated this movie. It's so bad it made me angry and I cannot remember the last time that happened to me.
Definitely rent it. The 3D cannot even save this awful film.

Yes, the French 3D disc is unrated (and most likely region B locked since it's a Metropolitan release).

Even though I always prefer my movies in the most complete uncut and uncensored form, in this case I did not replace my expensive US import (I'm from Europe myself) with the French one.

This movie is awesome, and the last time I watched it i jumped a couple times when Leatherface comes out of the shadows and grabs a victim. I remember it being pretty brutal. I want to watch the movies again when Leatherface comes out . I really enjoyed the remake and the remakes prequel.
