It was also released in Brazil, and very long out of print.
However, these turkish units are really low-priced. If they are quality ones, grab them if you are interested in this title. |

Finally bit the bullet and got a used copy from Australia. The shipping cost more than the actual movie, but in most cases I’d have to get it shipped overseas anyway.
The packaging doesn’t indicate the region coding at all, so I assume it’s Region Free. It’s playing on my Region A-locked Oppo 203 with no issues. Can’t account for Region C of course. The disc starts up with a cheesy anti-piracy ad from Australia. I actually find this “Thanks for paying” a lot more charming than the American ones that threaten you with punishment. It has the standard Paramount disclaimer and Paramount High Definition logos before the logo for Transmission Films, the Australian distributor. Then the menu, which offers two soundtracks, DTS-HD MA and a descriptive audio track, plus one subtitle track, English for Hard-of-Hearing. In comparison the R-rated, 2D American disc by Sony starts with a Sony home entertainment logo, a Blu-ray logo, an ad for Sony Blu-ray (Oh. My. Smurf…), followed by 5 trailers. And when you start the film there’s a bunch of anti piracy and legal disclaimers. But both releases have their own unique special features, the American disc has a commentary track and making of feature, while the Australian has interviews with the director and cast. This is also not as important, but these releases have totally different menu screens. The Sony pop-up menu is very generic in comparison. Last edited by joenostalgia23; 01-26-2024 at 09:11 AM. |
