Under-seen, under-appreciated gems that it seems like nobody saw except for you and about ten other people.
Safety, Not Guaranteed, Blue Valentine, Like Crazy, and Winter Bones are a few that come to mind. There is one that stands out though. The Perks of Being a Wallflower. It's honestly one of the best movies to come out in a long, long time. It's so raw, honest, and heartfelt. The performances are outstanding and truly impressive (especially Ezra Miller and Logan Lerman). It's one of the most emotionally effecting and truly beautiful movies I've ever seen. It's a shame that it hasn't enjoyed much of an audience but hopefully one day it gets the respect it deserves. What about you? Favorite, little seen gems of the 10s? |
