This really sucks big time.

Has anyone actually had this release in Hand?
I am fairly certain the archive collection stuff can only be ordered through Amazon or from Warner directly. The big box stores will not have this in stock, it was this way with their MOD archive collection DVD's. I see no reason why they would change from this type of format.

Deep Discount also sells Warner Archive titles online, but they don't have Greystoke listed yet.

This is crap. I pre-ordered months ago from Amazon, and it never shipped. Now it says out of stock on the site.

It says "out of stock", because Amazon is waiting to receive it from Warner Archive, just like everyone else. WAC releases aren't like regular discs. They aren't pressed in advance and shipped to wholesalers for distribution to retailers in advance of street date. The street date is when WAC begins processing and shipping them to purchasers through WBShop and to the occasional retailer (like Amazon) that has chosen to offer them.

For fastest service, order through WBShop.

Thanks for the info. Didn't realize it was an archive release.

Not my advice! I had an issue of credit card expiry because the pre-order was hanging so long. Their site is F'd up! Once the order on a MOD is made you can't cancel it, or change the method of payment at the website! So I was SOL for it being shipped on release day after a 4 month wait. It took a phone call and dealing with indifference to correct the order. Bad business practices.

Arrived UPS today. It's a clean HD transfer of a 1980s film.

I love it.

I'll leave the highly technical details up to the geeks.

Just ordered through Barnes & Noble using the 15% off coupon ($16.82). Listing says DVD but the picture and UPC are for the blu-ray. Hopefully I get The blu otherwise I'll have to waste my time with a return.

I pre-ordered (I'll never do that again) from WBShop when it first went up in March and mine still hasn't shipped, even after getting an email from them indicating that it would ship yesterday! They don't know what they are doing and they don't give a s**t.

They are a day behind on sending an email. Check your order status on the website.

Which, as far as I know, puts you ahead of everyone who ordered from a vendor other than WBShop. So, to repeat: for fastest service, go to the source, which is what Amazon and every other seller has to do.

(Same thing for review copies, BTW. We can't get them in advance.)

And I feel so privileged, but their site is still very limited in user options compared to others. Good luck if you have any kind of problem with an order through their site. So, still not my advice. I'd rather wait than deal with them again.
