I haven't read anything, but I live in hope if the Lo Wei ones and City Hunter got restored then I'd settle for 2k restorations with original mono

Blimey, I've been out the loop for so long with Jackie Chan releases that I didn't know Gorgeous was released. It has an Australian release too which is cheap on jbhifi but not sure what P&P prices are like.

The Cantonese audio track on the UK AOGII blu-ray is Dolby Digital 5.1.

Yea, it's definitely a modern remix. I was trying to figure out what the original mix was, but it appears to be Dolby Stereo Surround based off the original Laserdisc release.

Mono is original Audio. what Laserdisc? they often had a Chace Surround Remix done for Home Video in HK.

The HK release from the same year as the theatrical release.

yeah that is from the time where Star had selfmade, very good mixed, Home Video Remixes (based on original Elements). no Dolby Logo on any Movie Credits or Poster, so Mono is pretty sure for "original Mix". would be cool to have that LD Audio on a Blu.

Mediumrare AOG release was on Mar 07, 2016, so hopefully their license deal is now over and Eureka can take over.

[Trailer] 飛鷹計劃( Armour Of God II ) - Restored Version - YouTube

Looks great! But I wonder if it will keep the look of the original theatrical release by having the nighttime purple filters? If either 88 or Eureka can release this then they have to get the extended Japanese release which contains some scenes not available in other releases. It would also need to include both the “backside” and close-up shower scenes. The one thing I did notice in the trailer is that the underground bunker scene is a bit brighter than how it would have appeared in the theatrical release. And of course we need original audio and improved subs.

Somebody with the recent Nordic 8 JC movies box could tell.

If Eureka does license both Armour of God films which is quite possible.

I'm ready to go!

AOG2 I plan to have both the original mono from the Japanese laserdisc and the excellent stereo remix from the HK Star laserdisc.

A new subtitle translation is already done for both the HK and Japanese cuts of AOG2 so hopefully they can get permission to use the Japanese cut.

I also have original mono Cantonese track for AOG1 from the HK Star LD (much better sounding then the fan copy that's out there)

I also have the classic English dub off the Japanese LD as well.

So fingers crossed they licence both and grab Story of Ricky too!

Fingers crossed, and since you've done so much great prep work it shouldn't be too much time to get a boxset put together

Eureka would be an instant pre-order if they get this for sure.

I did a new sub translation for the original ARMOUR just a few months ago.

But I think any Eureka release would be a way's off.
