Torn between the Steel or the Sainsburys 2 disc exclusive.

Anyone know what is the 2nd exclusive disc and if its DVD or HD?
Sainsburys 2disc The Wolverine was HD bonus disc which was only possible to have if you bought the £100 claw, so it was worth it.

No confirmation if bonus disk is BD or DVD. However given the Asda exclusive for Papa Alpha also from Studio Canal was a DVD, so would tend to imply a DVD for Rush as well.

Of the recent Sainsburys exclusives only the Fox ones have used BD, others including all from Paramount have been DVDs.

True, I'm afraid it might sell out though. I noticed that all of the UK SB's are selling out thanks to US resellers and ebayers.

It looks like it is selling out in many places, although has returned in stock at Amazon, possibly some cancellations as the standard release is now almost £10 cheaper ! a big differential.

But this isn't an exclusive is it? I recall Skyfall being Play.com or HMV only, I know I was glad I preordered that one. Think it was HMV cause I remember being worried when they went bust....but then so did play??

Isn't the SB going to be everywhere? Not saying you're wrong, it seems most SB's sell out at some point.

All good if it does then it does but if it doesn't then more for people that want it.

I got my Skyfall from Amazon.uk. I had to watch the thing like a hawk to get it but I think maybe at first it was a play or HMV exclusive. Not sure as I have one and that is all that matters lol.

Skyfall was going to be an HMV exclusive but they went into administration around a month before release date. Amazon then picked up the exclusive as presume they had already manufactured the steelbooks. It sold out quickly on pre-order mainly because everyone who had pre-ordered the standard version at Amazon prior to them announcing the steelbook received a free upgrade. Was how I only paid around £12 for it. As said though they did return to stock briefly around release date at a higher price.

World's End was a general release steelbook so on sale at Amazon, Zavvi etc and in store at HMV. I just think Universal really underestimated demand as online it sold out ages before release date at Amazon and most other places were also sold out by the time it came out.

the only thing good about the steelbook is the colour. the design is just so bland and a wasted opportunity. the UK red amaray + lenticular slipcover is alot cheaper and nicer imo
