So what is the main difference between the Baccano First Pressing (slipbox, 2 cases for 3 discs) and the repackage that's 3 discs in one case with slipcover. Just the packaging?

I'm KILLING myself for ever trading in my ENTIRE collection of Blu-rays back in August 2012 to build a PC. I've had a beast one for some time, cool, but now I have been slowly buying back my collection, and this set, in either iteration, is OOP and going for like $200+. I paid $60 for the first pressing on a random restock on Right Stuf years ago, and now the cheapest listing active for that edition is $1,000 on Amazon! Haha. FML!

Yes, it's basically just the difference between an LE version and a Regular Edition - the first release was an LE art box and the second was the regular edition. I missed out totally on the LE version, and barely got my copy of the RE for $50 back in January, before that one went OOP - Rightstuf had a counter on it and there were only a couple copies left when I grabbed mine...

If I were in your position, I would not get it at that price and would rather wait for a domestic version. In the meantime you can play the game that the movie is based upon to familiarize yourself with it.

The show itself? It's a fun show that doesn't take itself too seriously. I'm not sure it's good enough to recommend a blind buy.

I pre ordered anohana, silver spoon and gurren lagann. Madoka,I watched the series on Netflix but idk it just didn't hook me like other people to wanna buy the movies.

Yay, perfect timing - I just received the JP import versions of all three PMMM Movies in the mail two weeks ago from Japan, and did pay a good bit more for that Movie 1&2 set than for this upcoming domestic Aniplex release... But, for some reason I do like the idea of owning the actual "authentic" versions from Japan (when they include an English-friendly sub and/or dub). Money be damned, unfortunately, lol...
