I really hope not. That's one of the worst BD transfers ever. If that's the case there's no way I'd buy this.

I'd be quite surprised if SF included the 1953 film as well. As it stands, I think it will just be the 1986 film.

Edit: Although I believe they are both MGM in the US? So maybe the '53 film could be included as an nice extra?

I think Scream knows that with Arrow looking to set up shop in the US, they are going to have to step up their game. I think Scream/Shout have done a pretty good job, overall, in trying to listen to the message board chatter and try to appease the fanbase as much as possible. It's for that reason alone, that I find myself supporting them in their efforts: because they will listen to the fan.
Unlike the major film studios who have much more resources at their disposal and seemingly never listen to the fans...just the boardrooms.

That's great news! I had been a bit worried about this one, to be honest. Really liked Dog Soldiers and can't wait to see what Scream pulls out for this one.

Unfortunately, all my excitement vaporised after learning that Scream edition will feature the same botched transfer as the current edition.

From their FB:

Just received official word: Although we have plenty of extras in store for the release, we unfortunately cannot do a new scan of transfer because our licensor does not have any film elements for us to do so.

Don't care for extras. All that counts is PQ. IMO at least.

Huge disappointment. Scream dropped the ball big time. Hopefully, Arrow will do justice to this gem eventually.

They should just cancel this release, the current blu-ray is easilly one of the worst transfer yet on the format. If they can't release anything better then why bother?
