Your most anticipated movies in 2014

I just now found out about the upcoming adaptation of Serena.

I am a big fan of Ron Rash's novels, since he lives close to my area, and I'm familiar with the settings of his stories. I bought Serena the week that it was published, and plowed through it over a weekend. It's a tough-edged story that will translate beautifully to the screen if done right.

You just want an excuse to see a third straight excellent film starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper, directed by David O Russell.

I can't wait for Paul Thomas Anderson's Inherent Vice and the Wachowski's Jupiter Ascending the most. I'm also looking forward to Nymphomaniac, Godzilla, Interstellar, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and Sin City: A Dame to Kill for.

I still haven't seen the first two.

Serena is a great novel, so I hope that the above filmmaking team does justice to it.

maybe this year - we'll finally see the release of Terrence Malick's 'Voyage of Time' on the IMAX screen !!!

and supposedly there's a film version of Shaun the Sheep slated this year

David O. Russell did not direct Serena, it was directed by Susanne Bier. Should still be good though.

Winter's Tale I never heard of it until i saw the trailer on tv the other day and it looks like it could be interesting

I was looking forward to Loomis Fargo with Jim Carrey and Owen Wilson but that production doesn't seem to be going anywhere and Carrey is out now so :/

You know, I never thought in a year where Sin City 2 was coming out a foreign film would easily top my most anticipated film list. I was wrong. The Raid 2 alone will make 2014 a better film year then 2013. It sounds that awesome.

Still need a promising historical epic. It has been ages since Hollywood financed one, and PG-13 historical epics have never cut it, for me.
