Frozen had a 3D BD release. And I hope it's the same with Need for Speed too. That way, I can avoid shipping from Mexico, since I doubt the UK version will be region free too.

Actually, if you convert 429 pesos into US dollars, that would be 33 dollars, cause 13 pesos equals a dollar.

I went almost all the way through with the order the final was just shy of $50 dollars with shipping & handling and dollar conversion, that's why I didn't order. I really want the film but will not bite at that price.

I preordered the UK version, about $20 shipped which is pretty good for a 3D new release.

Given the increase of 3D import exclusives, it's practically a necessity to have a region free player these days.

33 Dollars I'd more than consider to have this in 3D. Anymore though, and I'd probably hold off till the price dropped.

It's been answered many times, but is the PS3 3D player region free also? I forgot the answer as I'm afraid to buy a disc that won't work and then try to have to ship it back overseas...

No, the PS3 is not a region free player.
Need for Speed 3D is released in the UK on July 21st.
Right now it is 13 GBP which is a little over $22. Plus you have to pay for shipping and it will come out to about $25 or $26.
History of Entertainment One releases suggest that this will be region locked.

It's sad they would spend money on a very respectable 3D conversion of Need for Speed only to let it sit in the vault, inaccessible for blu ray 3D fans.

I can't imagine this without the 3D, which added another layer to the experience.

GREAT NEWS BUDDY! There is a 2d/3d release region "A" It's from Korea it comes out on 7/16! There is also region "A" from Taiwan on 7/25. PM me if you need any info!

Excellent! Yes Asia has a listing for the Korean and Taiwanese version of the 3D BD. But the price for the Korean version is expensive. And the Taiwanese version won't be out until August.
