Thanks for sharing! I completed the survey and put an emphasis on Blu-ray releases. I wonder if you might also want to share this in the anime forum as well to increase the number of participants?

Side question: what if we didn't have access to HD elements, or the cost of getting a new scan was prohibitive? It's been suggested that I consider releasing a Blu-Ray full of SD video (*not* upscaled, but high-bitrate SD). The idea being better than DVD-quality SD video, and the ability to put a lot of episodes on a disc (thus reducing the cost).

Might want to go on FB and weigh in guys.

I wonder if Macross would be a good candidate for a KickStarter?

Harmony Gold owns the rights as I understand so your u could go up to them and ask - how much for the rights? They will say $1,000,000; for example.

Then go on KickStarter and say to everyone - hey, I need 1,500,000 to release it and then see if there is interest.

Just pledged for a copy of the Blu-ray. I almost added Santa Company, but the character designs do not really appeal to me, which is why I didn't back the project to begin with. Would anyone say that it is worth the extra cash?

The video streaming and crowdfunding platform Anime Sols announced on Wednesday that it will close down on May 1. It is shipping the final support packages for its Black Jack 2, Creamy Mami 3, and Creamy Mami 4 DVD box sets, and its website will continue to stream its videos until the closing date.

Japan's Yomiuri Group joined forces with anime studios Pierrot, Tezuka Productions, and Tatsunoko Productions to launch Anime Sols in North America in November 2012. Its titles include such Osamu Tezuka anime as One-Million Year Trip: Bander Book, Black Jack and Aoi Blink, as well as Tatsunoko Productions anime series such as Yatterman (both the original 1977 series and its 2008 remake) and Tekkaman.

Anime Sols also launched successful crowdfunding campaigns to release the Black Jack, Dear Brother, and Magical Angel Creamy Mami TV anime series on DVD, and attempted similar campaigns for anime such as The File of Young Kindaichi Returns television anime series.

Currently finalizing the contracts for our next two limited-edition Blu-Ray projects... I wonder what they could be?

Looks like there will be two kickstarters, cant wait to see what they are. Still hoping for Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer, just recently got a bluray release in Japan.

I hoping AnimeEigo does a campaign for Otaku no Video, unless they have plans to release it on their own without crowdfunding. They handled the North American DVD release and the title came out on Blu-ray in Japan in December.

But I'll be excited no matter what they titles are; I absolutely loved the Bubblegum Crisis set!
