So no, there's no extended cut, on this steelbook or the regular release. The best we can hope for are deleted scenes.

The movie is way too long as it is. I'm content with just the deleted scenes.

Yeah I don't like movies over three hours,it is just too long for my liking...the reason I have still to see Gone with the Wind.

Though majestic and epic (sometimes boring) try watching Lawrence of Arabia which is close to 4 hours

I have done,I enjoyed it,it's a very good film but because of the run time I simply have no interest in owning it,I'm just not sure when I would feel like sitting down to watching it again....I could get two very good films watched in that time.

True. I really like LOA as well but its way too long for todays standards. Today I can probably last around 2 hours in watching a film. If it goes over that I simply can't finish it living in such a hectic world like today. I'll have to divide it into 2 days at least.

I haven't seen Wolf of Wall Street yet and I know I'm going to eventually split it into 2 days when it comes out.

I haven't seen it either,I have been meaning to go to the cinema on three occasions but for one reason or another I simply haven't made it.
I may just wait now and blind buy this.

Three hours is all I can really mange(or enjoy)any longer and it's just too much like hard work which is why it won't bother me if this remains at the current run time....I don't like splitting my films,it's one go or nothing for me.

In todays movie standards most movies are 2 1/2 hours or less which is acceptable for me. Lately with TWOWS its been the only one that runs 3 hours which I'll try to make the exception of finishing it in one go. But even then "the classics" I have to split them. LOA was one of them. I finished it in 2 days

Blasphemy!
2 good films don't equal 1 great film!
I get the runtime as you really have to just set aside a good amount of time. I watch LoA, at least, once per year. I would usually watch it around April, when The Masters is played. Don't ask me why, I just settled on that date.
Well when my father passed away last August, I'll now watch on that day in August...in the hopes that he's maybe watching too.

Btw, not sure if this has been posted or if anyone has noticed. But it looks like the title and the flag will be embossed

I'm almost certain that it will be.

been away so just got round to whacking my order in on Amazon

as for the run time - 3hrs is fine by me, especially when, like with this movie, it never feels that long. But if we do end up with extended cuts/deleted scenes, all the better

Looks swell but would look better without the big dollar sign on the back which is totally unnecessary imo.

I quite like it
Fits the movie perfectly

If anything should go it should be Leo's name. I'm ok with director/creators names on the front but would rather see titles only if anything.

I don't think it should go. Leo acquired the rights to the film and produced it, plus funded it (Appian Way Productions is his production company). He actually came to Marty with the project and convinced him to direct it. So it's really it's as much his film as Scorsese's (and Winter's).

How is Amazon UK when it comes to shipping Steels?

The last one I got from there was like a year ago and I can't remember what it came in.

Come in steelbook specific cardboard mailers. Slightly more protection than the card pouches they use for regular orders, but not as good as they were using earlier in 2013 or the packaging that Zavvi uses.

However any of the custom packaging is still exposed to damage if heavy weight dropped on the package during transit.
