![]() ![]() A thread dedicated to smoking in movies. I've always been fascinated with cigarette smoking in movies. I don't consider myself a smoker as I only have the occasional cigar, but it just looks really cool on the silver screen, especially in film noirs. A long dialogue scene can suddenly become more visually appealing if a character lights one up, and it gives an actor a prop to play with. I remember recently there was an anti-smoking group trying to enforce R ratings on any movies that feature smoking, which is just nonsense. Things to discuss: What are your favorite smoking scenes and who are the actors that make smoking look the coolest? Have you noticed actors that don't inhale? Does it bother you if there is excessive smoking in a movie, PG rated or in general? Share your thoughts, pics, gifs, videos, whatever. Last edited by spanky87; 02-03-2018 at 03:17 PM.
