As far as shipping, you don't seem to understand the marketplace, NoLifeDGenerate. Those items are not sold or shipped by Amazon, they're shipped and sold by the individual sellers. With all the tax/export fee hassles, etc., I don't believe I've ever (or rarely) seen an Amazon.JP market item which ships to the US. They only make so many of these limited editions and perhaps you waited too long. Try eBay (only 1-new for $59).
I imported the extended cut of Ultraviolet on blu-ray from a third party seller on Amazon from Japan and it arrived with no hassle.

The pointless retcons and the unnecessary twist were what killed the movie, including the disgusting editing.

I also don't see how the hell this is a limited edition in the first place. It doesn't say that ANYWHERE. It's a catalog title in a standard keepcase. It should most definitely get reprinted. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Resid...lu-ray/137351/

Regarding the Japanese solo extended edition release, bluray.com lists it as having 2 cuts. Since the boxset with the extended cut only had the extended cut, is the solo release a new disc? And what is on the second disc? I was thinking the first disc is the original extended cut and the second disc is the original MPEG-2 theatrical cut. Unless the second disc is just extras, that would mean the first disc is newly authored with both cuts.

Nevermind, the DVDCompare page was updated. The second disc is a new disc with a special Japanese TV cut of the film. The first disc is probably just the Extended Cut disc that's been in the boxsets.

Interestingly there is a separate entry for the Japanese Extended Edition (http://dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=10798#7), and in the notes says "Also part of a 3-Disc Set "Biohazard: Blu-ray Trilogy Box", along with "Resident Evil" and "Resident Evil: Extinction", rather than "Only part of...". Suggesting that it was available standalone. Probably just an error though.

The release of the Resident Evil 3 remake really makes this movie look outdated.
