The last season of Heroes was a letdown, but season 1 and 3 were so good that I'm gonna give this show the benefit of the doubt and give this reboot a chance. As long as Noah Bennett is involved, and hopefully Hiro in some capacity, I'm ready to get back into the Heroes universe.

I won't lie, the teaser got me hyped. Seeing Levi was great, because I loved Chuck, and I'm excited to see him back on TV. But seeing Horn Rimmed Glasses again got me really pumped! Really hoping for the best from this one.

Seeing as I stopped after the first season, I have no bad blood with the original Heroes, so I'm excited for this one...mostly because of Chu...I mean Zachary.

I remember I really enjoyed the first season and I don't think I got through all of the second season...started to loose interest. I think the show lost traction somewhere so I got bored with it. It did have a lot of potential though and had a great cast...it just needed the right writing...

Would be happy to jump back into it...hopefully it has the same cast as before or at least some really good new actors mixed with some old.

Almost a year has passed since NBC announced that Tim Kring was bringing back his hit show, Heroes. The event, called Heroes Reborn, will be a 13-episode mini-series that should premiere at some point this year. In that time, only one cast member had been revealed, Jack Coleman, reprising his role as the popular “Horn Rim Glasses” man. Now casting is about to get rolling again and the first new addition is NBC and superhero movie alum, Zachary Levi. Read about the new member of the Heroes Reborn cast below.

TV Line broke the news of Levi’s casting, and ran this quote:

"There are a few franchises I’ve always wanted to be a part of, and Heroes is one of them. Chuck gave me the opportunity to wield some fun powers, but an entire world with superpowers is a world I’ve always wanted to explore. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work with Tim [Kring], and the awesome team around him, in bringing this to life. Moreover, to be working with NBC again is such a reward in itself, as my bonds and relationships there are deep."

There’s no word on whom or what Levi will play except that it’s a “key role.” The president of NBC, Robert Greenblatt, said this about the show overall last week:

"Jack’s the way in, but I think – and I’m not trying to be coy because we just don’t know – you will see several of the old cast popping in to episodes."

Apparently, we’ll be hearing more about casting in the coming weeks. There’s still no public timeline of when we’ll actually see the show on air. But if “Jack’s the way in,” you can assume his hunt for heroes may not have ended with the show.

I really enjoyed Heroes when it first aired but felt it lost a bit of its impact as it went along. It was cancelled after four seasons. Still, a self-contained story set in that world definitely has my interest and Levi is a unique actor that rides that line between funny and goofy, but also serious and geeky. He’s a nice addition.

Who do you hope returns for the Heroes Reborn cast? For me, if you don’t bring back at least two or three of the core characters played by Ali Larter, James Kyson Lee, Masi Oka, Hayden Panettiere, Adrian Pasdar, Zachary Quinto, Sendhil Ramamurthy or Milo Ventimiglia, why make the show at all, right?

Here’s the official description of Heroes Reborn:

"The saga behind the 2006 breakout series Heroes will continue as creator Tim Kring returns to the fold and develops new layers to his original superhero concept. This highly anticipated 13-episode miniseries will reconnect with the basic elements of the show’s first season where ordinary people were waking up to the fact that they had extraordinary abilities. This series will be preceded by a new digital series that will introduce audiences to the new characters and storylines that will take the Heroes phenomenon to new places."

I'm one of those people who absolutely loved season 1, thought season 2 and abhorred seasons 3 and 4. Hopefully they can re-capture the magic of season 1 from the original series. If so I'm down for it.

"Once Upon a Time's" Peter Pan Joins NBC's "Heroes: Reborn" Miniseries
by Kimberly Roots
March 16, 2015

A Storybrooke baddie is poised to become a real hero.

Robbie Kay, who played the bratty Peter Pan on ABC’s "Once Upon a Time", has been cast in "Heroes: Reborn", the miniseries based on NBC’s popular drama.

Per our sister site Deadline, Kay will play a new character not previously seen on "Heroes".

The 13-episode endeavor from "Heroes" creator Tim Kring will reconnect with the basic elements of the show’s first season — where ordinary people were waking up to the fact that they had extraordinary abilities.

The cast — so far — also includes "Heroes" vet Jack Coleman and "Chuck" star Zachary Levi.

Judith Shekoni Joins The Cast Of HEROES REBORN

British actress/model Judith "Judi" Shekoni has landed a series regular role in NBC's upcoming Heroes revival, joining Zachary Levi (Chuck), Robbie Kay (Once Upon a Time) and Danika Yarosh (Shameless) as a mysterious new character. The only returning cast member will be Jack Coleman, who will reprise the role of Noah Bennet aka "HRG" (Horn-Rimmed Glasses) when the show airs sometime this year.

Shekoni, 32, has also appeared in the likes of Garfield 2, The World Is Not Enough, and The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Tim Kring also returns to develop the 13-episode miniseries, which will reconnect with the basic elements of the show’s first season where ordinary people were waking up to the fact that they had extraordinary abilities.

"Heroes: Reborn": Masi Oka to Return as Hiro! Plus, Premiere Date Scoop
by Michael Ausiello
March 27, 2015

Yatta!” Masi Oka will reprise his role as Hiro Nakamura in NBC’s 13-episode revival "Heroes: Reborn", which the network now confirms will premiere in the fall.

I’m excited to return to my Heroes roots,” said Oka, who currently appears on "Hawaii Five-0". “Hiro Nakamura was such an inspirational role to play, and I’m hoping the fans will enjoy seeing him back on TV.

We are thrilled to have Masi back in the Heroes family,” said series overlord Tim Kring. “The character of Hiro Nakamura was such a huge part of the first series’ success, and a gigantic fan favorite. We felt the fans would really love seeing him back in action again.
