Not only the spines suck, but the "metalcrap" plastic holder is always in a bad state of bad molding: you'll see the plastic spinner and the edges with lots of leftover plastics. Really hard to cut them out with scissors or nail clippers.

Damn smart phone, hard to see, lines looked like embossing. Too bad.

Hate Metalpaks. Pass.

I hope this trend doesn't continue because I don't really want to have to worry whether this release is metalpack vs. steelbook. It's hard to keep track of just the steelbooks right now

At least that is making me feel better about these craptastic Metalpaks. We have alot of Steelbooks coming to offset it.

I'm a huge Transformers fan, so I'll pick them up, I love the artwork. So the original post suggests just the first and second but pictures show the first and third, any chance revenge of the fallen will be released as well, or do the pictures mean no chance of the second one being released? It just doesn't make any sense to release the first and third only to leave out the second. Thanks.

I would suggest getting the German Steelbooks if you're a huge fan but they will cost a bit more.

May 5th-7th depending on when your local Wal-Mart reworks the stock.

I am a huge Transformers fan too. The Steelbook from Zavvi.com is REALLY good too. I just received mine, absolutely beautiful. It is cheap as well (only 11 pound, including shipping, and that's like $17).

The sad part is it is only available on TF1.

Out of the 20 or so Steelbook/metal-box/tin-can-whatchamacallits that I own, that one is actually my favorite. I love the lenticular cover and the fact that it's individually numbered. The Hall of Armor inside is just the icing on the cake. So if the new stuff is half as good, I'll be happy.

I agree. I don't think they look that bad. Perhaps Metalpacks will become the new Steelbook.

One is in the MP discussion thread and the other is in the deal thread. I mean I guess they could but really they are both in the right places.
