No, I have no respect for pretentious d!cks who can't appreciate that some people don't like films with subtitles...

If you're not willing to learn the original language of the film so you can watch it as the director intended, then you have no respect for films and the people who make them.

Uh, NO, you're wrong. You can have the utmost respect for films and the people who make them by watching a film SUBTITLED because learning a different language to watch a film shouldn't be a requirement. SUBTITLES are perfectly acceptable to appreciate the many wonderful foreign, non-English speaking films out there. Now, watching a film DUBBED is definitely showing no respect for films and the people who make them, all us serious movie fans know that.

When it comes to animation, I can't agree with that. Anime fanboys/otakus will yell and scream at me, but they can kiss my shiny white ass.

But when it comes to live-action, I do agree with you.

I am currently mastering all ~250 Bantu languages(eventually the entire, discernable 535), just in case Congo, or other parts of Central-SouthEastern Africa start releasing steelbooks, in Swahili, or the like.

The artwork on Tumblr is not final artwork for steelbook. It's just a teaser poster.

OK, so I decided to watch this last night on Netflix to see if it was the type of movie I would like and to decide if it was steelbook worthy. I must say I was quite blown away by this movie...probably one of the best movies I have watched in a long time. Great story, awesome acting and a really good job with soundtrack.

I will say though that after watching this I agree with the people who say there is no other way to watch this other than in its native language with English subs. This is the first movie I have watched that does not have an English soundtrack so I was unsure how I would like it, but there is no doubt that watching with an English dubbed audio track would detract from the movie.

I am super pumped now to see what they come up with in regards to this steelbook and look forward to owning this on BD. Can't wait to re-watch this in all its 1080P glory and HD audio soundtrack.

I just use Rosetta Stone so I can watch every film in its native language and understand it completely. That's the only way to fully appreciate what the filmmaker and actors accomplished.

Damn, rickah! That's one of the funniest posts I've come across in ages on here.
Especially the steelbook aspect of it. Priceless!

I also thought the notion that everyone ought to watch a movie in its native language without subtitles was hilarious. There are great movies made all over. How are we meant to learn every language (to cover all bases, of course), fit in time to live our life, fulfil responsibilities and actually watch those movies? Seriously, where was the logic in that statement? Haha
