Money talks, and i'm sure from the developer's standpoint, it was a good financial decision. Too bad it sucks for a lot of gamers out there.

That's exactly what will happen. Plus with Uncharted 4 coming around the same time, I'm sure SE did not want to have to compete with that during the same time period. It's actually pretty smart business if you thinka bout it. Release on Xbone in 2015, then when all the hype/sales of Uncharted 4 die down, release the uber edition on PS4 in 2016.

Maybe, but games that come out after their original release usually don't get near the sales to make up for it.

Exactly. Tomb Raider is not a system seller. Assassin's Creed or GTA 5 would have been a better, yet much larger, investment.

Gutted. I loved the reboot and was looking forward to the follow up. Now it's gone for good. Typical MS, they can't develop anything themselves so they buy up a game, just like they did with Titan Fall.

Unbelievable. No, this won't persuade me to pick up an Xbox One, but this is a massive loss for gamers on PlayStation.

I'm pretty pissed about this. I loved the Definitive Edition for PS4, and was planning on pre-ordering the sequel. But there are plenty of other games.

Yeah Sony are doomed. If only they had an exclusive series in the mold of the Tomb Raider franchise. A series that has sold well and has some of the most critically acclaimed games of all time. A series that could have the first PS4 entry planned for release while this is a timed exclusive. Oh well what can you do. I guess those THIEVES at Sony have met their END

It this had a chance to move hundreds of thousands of Xbox Ones ... I'd say that while despicable, this might have been a necessary deal by MS.

As it is, it won't, and it was a spiteful move to just put a checklist for their fall 2015 lineup: "Uncharted - like Adventure game exlcusive to our platform? Check".

I normally am not one to call for retribution, but as this is probably one of the worst move ever by MS and one of the big AAA studios in the industry, I'm just going to list the upcoming Square-Enix + Eidos games on home consoles.
The rest is up to individual choice.

I have no doubt that what this cost for an exclusive could have easily funded their own IP/game. Possibly even two.

Ironically Sleeping Dogs is the only one of those I want and I am not getting it at its $60 price tag.

This is so totally ****ed up. I'm hoping it is a timed exclusive, but there is no official word that it is. And if it is an Xbone exclusive it a dumb move to cut out even the PC gamers.
