can anyone confirm that this complete limited collection contains the same extended episodes as the individual releases? i have the four seasons already but decided to order the statue collection and was going to give the individuals to a friend.

One of my favorite shows of all time but I gotta be honest, the show lost something after Blood & Sand and Gods of the Arena. Having to recast Spartacus after the first season being the main culprit. Still an awesome show and if you liked the 300 movies, you'll love this.

Is the UV content also the extended versions? They don't list the total run time. You can check each episode and do the math. My quick check is the total time is less on the UV versions than the Blu Ray versions. Has anyone else checked this? For this reason alone the UV copy would be inferior and not a reason to repurchase The Complete Series when compared to the Digi Books which have the same run time as this collection. Thoughts?

Got me the European release and the Digipak sucks big time. Anyway, is there a way to tell if the discs are cut/uncut edition? Any particular scene I can check to see?

I have no idea what the European edition looks like, but on the American version, it states right next to each episode title on the packing if the episode is extended. Which in most cases means it's totally uncut.

Ok. It doesn't say anything but I've found out now that it is in fact unrated/uncut.
The individual season releases were cut here. Watching ep 1 season 1 now and it does include the extended nude scenes.

Does anybody know how to contact Anchor Bay to get a replacement disc? My 3rd disc in the first season freezes in one of the episodes.

You could try contacting Lionsgate, but I don't know if you can since Anchor Bay Entertainment no longer exists. Starz was acquired and merged into Lionsgate and the Anchor Bay brand is no longer used.

I ordered the Spartacus Complete Series BD set for my dad for Father's Day on Sunday and received this from amazon.com. I specifically made sure that I selected the sold by amazon version when I ordered it but instead was sent one by a third party seller. This has happened more than five times recently but that is another story, this one even has the sticker over the barcode that has the seller's ID and states that it is new. My question is is this a genuine release or a knockoff?

The one I received.

What every other website on the net shows.

I noticed on here it says digibook, but Amazon says "slip case." They may have low key re-released it with different packaging type and that's why the cover dropped the UV (did it come with UV?) and you got one that just says "Blu-ray."

Thanks for the heads up. I was almost ready to order before I read that AMAZON screwed up. Were you able to resolve the issue and get the correct set?

I just received the same truncated box from Best Buy. Has anyone actually opened theirs to confirm that there is no digital copy included?

It probably is the correct set with new packaging. If the previous set came with Ultraviolet digital copies then it makes sense there would be new packaging since Ultraviolet is ceasing to exist.
