Utopia aired on British TV, as I said when you originally posted that comment, it is more than likely native stereo. 5.1 audio mixing is expensive and time consuming, so since it's not a delivery requirement, most production companies don't bother.

There's a typo on the back sleeve notes. It says "Ian and com" when presumably it should say "Ian and co."

Think they'll do a box-set of the two series' together? I don't know whether to order them separately (while they have the slipcovers) or wait a while to see if I can get them both together in a set.

I only checked this out very recently on Netflix, think i only made it to about episode 3 or 4, started off intriguing despite some unecessarily horrific violence (clear there just for shock factor) but the characters were terrible, especially the creepy hitman guy and the main woman who everyone was looking for. Lost the will to continue, but i admit the concept or setup was quite intriguing.

Finished series one last night. I loved the score and visuals (the story and dialogue was okay). Sucks that the UK didn't get this on Blu-ray.

Surprisingly, both series one and two are coming to Japan in April/May. The bad news is that they are expensive, and the specs aren't too hot so far, with Dolby Digital audio and BD-25 discs listed at Amuse's web site. Also, they'll obviously be either 1080i30 or 1080p conversions, and there's no extras.

Still, this would be the first Region A / US-compatible version of either series.

My previous attempt at posting this is still in the approval queue, so I'm posting it again... I picked up the Japanese release of season 2 and took photos of the front and back, since there are no photos of the artwork online anywhere. As you can see, there are deleted scenes and a trailer.
