As for those regretting spending too much on their collections/spending too much during BF sales, and ending up having loads of movies they haven't even watched yet ...

Put them to good use and save money at the same time by doing what I am doing - cutting the cord with cable/sat TV.
I hear that. I haven't had cable/satellite in over a year and don't miss flipping through 300 channels of nothing, at all. My collection, Netflix, and football on basic t.v. get me through just fine.

I rarely blind buy but my latest buyers remorse that I just sold was Cloverfield. After Godzilla came out, I saw alot of people mentioning it and some saying they thought it was better. I had never seen it because I hate found footage and shaky cam movies but I love monster movies so I checked it out. My instincts were right. I found it boring and annoying so now it's gone.

I was going to do a blind buy for Django Unchained, because I was just sure I was going to love it. And I went to Target on launch day to get the exclusive Steelbook.

When I got there, for some reason I impulse bought two copies, thinking somebody might want the steelie, or I could sell it for a profit on eBay, or something. I don't know what.

As it turns out, I didn't like the movie. And I know have two steelies of it sitting on my shelf. I have no idea what I was thinking.

Iron Man 3 3D. Missed it in theaters and waited a long time for the price to drop which it never really did. Blind bought the 3D Blu a couple of months ago and was very disappointed. Waste of $40.00 dollars. I liked Iron Man 2 much better.

Also Nightmare Before Christmas 3D. Its a great film but that 3D transfer is absolutely pathetic and was a waste of $35.00 dollars. Disney is ridiculous with their outrageous prices for all of their films.

I thought I was the only one! I have too many films to watch and I try to make a shortened watchlist on my iPad, IMDB, or just by arranging the films on the shelf to make it easier for me to pick something. I sometimes spend so much time choosing the film to watch that I don't have time to watch any! And sometimes after I've begun watching a film I ponder if some other film was better. This is absolutely horrible!

And the worst of all, I tend to save the blu-ray -versions of the most special films (old personal favorites etc) for a "special occasion" (whatever that might be) and sometimes I never get to see them Alien Anthology, Indiana Jones collection, Planet of the Apes collection... all of them waiting and collecting dust because the "time hasn't been right yet". I'm sick.

Used DVD/CD stores aren't required to buy whatever you're trading in. I always end up with a handful of rejects to take home whenever I unload some unwanted discs.

The only time Cex has ever turned me down for anything is if it isn't region B.

Machete Kills
Vampire Academy
Conan the Barbarian 2011

Vampire Academy was so bad I considered destroying the disc.
