I'll plead the 5th there - for reasons of holding an unpopular opinion on the subject.

But I will say that Munich was far and away my preference among the nominees, though I think many of the actual best films from that year went ignored by the Academy (shocking, I know ).

Figued there was some sort of political comment or other controversial comment that forced Universal to yank it off the market after only a few weeks. Well...here's hoping all of it -- "prayer for peace" and all -- comes to the blu-ray version.

They simply didn't see a market for special features. It didn't help that the 2-disc version was much more expensive than the barebones version.

Crash was still a really great movie but not Oscar winner worthy. That year had to go back to Brokeback Mountain.

My friend, it was gone within DAYS. And then people started selling it for three figures on e-bay.

I've got the three-disc Terminal (which is really just two DVDs and the soundtrack on a CD)...I was in law school and missed the two-disc Munich.

I saw it for a long time at Barnes and Noble due to them selling things for MSRP.

I'm not the biggest fan of Brokeback Mountain, to be honest. I respect the film well enough, but for the most part it didn't really wow me. Though I do think Heath Ledger should have won an Oscar for his performance.

Why does it say on Best buy site "only Best buy" i hope this is a wide release and not some exclusive that no one can get in other countries

Then it will be the same scenario with The Ring. A Region A locked Blu-ray. And one year later Nationwide release and Region Free.
